Oh, and I had him sample the FastBuds OG Kush auto buds I grew in this journal. He took just two hits. He said it had a typical Kush flavor and said it was surprisingly mild considering it's only been in the jar for 3 or 4 days. He said the high was a little more uplifting and fast hitting then he would expect for a Kush. This has me thinking I may have been a little early on the chop chop. You can't go back though so make it a point to be patient and diligent when you're nearing harvest time.

Quarter Pounder auto X Dark Devil auto at sprout +68 days today.

I wish I knew how to put two photos side by side for a comparison. The buds do look to be swelling but I am not positive. Either way she is a ways from being finished I'm thinking.

I like the uplifting feeling and miss it, the past 4 bags i bought have all been sleep in the bed all day indicas i might be that guy that chops a week or so early.

My friend came up for a visit today to bring me some seeds he saved out of a bag of weed he bought recently. His words "that weed was some of the best I've smoked in my whole life" and he's mid 60s and been smoking pot continuously for the past 50+ years. He has no clue about growing, genetics etc and figured if the seeds were on the plant his buds came from then the plants from those seeds will produce buds exactly like those he bought and loved so much.

I'm thinking there are 3 possibilities right?

1. The plant his buds came on (call the strain Gumbo) was pollinated by a male Gumbo plant growing nearby. I think in this scenario there is a good chance the bud quality could be similar to the Gumbo buds he purchased.

2. The plant his buds came from (Gumbo) was pollinated by a male of a different strain thus producing seeds of a cross strain.

3. The plant his buds came from threw nanners from either stress of genetics (hermaphrodite) in which case the seeds would be fems, the weed should be really close to what he originally purchased, and if growing one you either keep it segregated or keep up with pulling off the nanners.

Is there an option I'm missing that you can think of?

You about covered the spread. Grow them out and have your buddy taste the final product to determine if it’s close or not. Best of luck

What do you guys/gals think is this nearly ready to harvest? Not seeing many clear trichromes and same thing for the amber trichromes. But she sure is looking ready. Strain is Grandpa Punch a cross of mine I made about 18 months ago.
