**sorry but I was pretty proud of myself for workin that one out... I was racking my brains for ages workin out how to fix it without a ph meter lol.

she's a big lanky girl mate and good stuff on working out ya ph without a metre.:D

Adding calcium will make your pH go higher and so will magnesium but not as severly. You really should get a meter as they are not expensive and really do a good job of getting you clued in as to what your pH really is.

I think thats meant for you stoney... he's getting confused between the two grows with the same probs...

I figured it out I think... lets assume my base water ph is 7.0... I had figured that adding the bizz nutes was dropping my ph level to lockout...

Mines faired better after I figured out that dolomite lime was ph neutral of 7.0 but I couldn't find any, I then found out that dolomite was basically just calcium and magnesium (which the plants were lacking anyways)

So I stuck some calcium dust and epsom salts into my nute mix and gave that to the plants.... (funnily enough I done all of this in theory because I didn't have a PH meter)

It completely helped.... alongside that I upped my nutes to almost DOUBLE what they were lol...

Today I got a PH meter and I checked on my theory just to have physical evidence on the theory....

my water ph is 7.4 when I added the bizz it drops to 5.1 ... 5.1 causes the cal/mag AND PHOS deficiencies.
*the PHOS side explains why neither of us had probs until the start of flower*

adding the calcium and mag to the mix upped my ph to 6.4 (practically optimum right) ... tomorrow is watering day so I'll be doing the test on a proper batch and I'll PH the run off too just to let ya know ;)

I got a meter yesterday dude... the above i figured out last week lol.

reason being they were showing signs of N.P.K and mag lockout ... I checked a nutrient scale and k only gets locked out in low ph.

I had figured that the calcium and mag mixed into the solution would provide a buffer of 7 (it worked lol) - ok so I might have gotten lucky... I'll have to test and make a nice high ph solution and see if adding cal and mag (on the basis that the mixture is dolomite lime) buffers down too.

..........................

Checked earlier stoney ... 6.5 going in... 5.9 run off ... the cal + mag was deffo required and a good fix for low PH ;)

she's flowering, but u need to turn the light at 16/8

i love the plant, ur doing a very good work!

She's looking awesome bud... sorry for the thread hijack by the way I didn't mean to confuse folk between the grow's I was just trying to give ya a wee insight as to how I solved the mag / phos problem lol...

Mines seem to be doing great on 12/12 ... I'm actually thinking about jining you in supercropping the top of one because it's growing far too tall lol.
