Grow Mediums Mom's Autocob, Autoflower, Autopot Grow

If they were very light then they are not "wicking" this is not error of auto pot but perhaps the soil you are using. Pop22 will need to answer from here. You did not do any thing wrong. Growing is like raising kids. some shit always seems to just happen, then we deal with it :)
thank you hon. yes, first kid was trial and error, my poor son, LMAO.
i am using HALF happy frog and half perlite because its soil. some folks say dont use soil in the autopots just coco. i will pm him, thank you:biggrin:

i pulled the tent upstairs after the cellar flood incident (yikes) and it is now in my diningroom. my house temp is 69.
I would raise them off the floor a bit. BUT this is not the reason for the no-wicking. That is just my input. Others may have more experience and better input. But you have done fine by watering. Things will work out, Hell they are a weed, you know. :smiley1:

I use just coco. tho I am not 100% sold. I have NOT zoned in on my ladies. This is 2nd attempt. They are better but it maybe the bad vibes from the new home we are in, HA HA

@MassMom

This is great for me. I am sub'd to your grow so I can see what issues I might run in to when I start my first run with autopots in a couple of weeks. Nah, I was really hoping to see a smooth transition for you with no issues and some nice pictures of big plants after a week of use.

If its not the mat or disc and its not gunk migrating in to the tray, then maybe it's the composition of your substrate like mentioned above. Did you do an exact measurement of say coco and perlite (not sure what you are using sorry) and know the ration is good like 60/40 or something? Maybe try and take a picture of the substrate in the pot?

welcome lunar! it is an exact half happy frog half perlite mix. I emailed a dude at autopot.uk and they said that when using soil you must use half perlite to lighten the mix.
