Grow Mediums Mom's Autocob, Autoflower, Autopot Grow

You see solid matter in the tray from the pot?
no...just brown water in the pot trays. ever since day 1 of turning on the autopots there has been water in the trays. is this the way it is supposed to be?

Did you reconnect the autopots? Also, check the autopot threads for similar problems.
no, i left the autopot off and hand fed them. im afraid to turn it back on~ something doesnt seem correct. trays had water in them, but pots were reading DRY with my soil meter
.

Is the color of the tray water the same as your res water? If it not, is darker, than maybe matter has migrated from your pot in to the tray. Maybe from when you top watered? Or maybe the mat that prevents roots from getting in to the tray from the pot is not installed right?

@MassMom

Wanted to ask, and maybe its a bad time now. But you turned the pots on a week ago right? Both water and air dome right? Did you notice a rapid increase in growth?
yes, growth went up. now they are limp.

the water in res is clear. water in tray for the last week has been brown. i think maybe root control disk is issue...what do i do now, they are at the bottom...sigh. i top watered a little while ago, and will let them dry out before i try anything i guess.

UPDATE DAY 28
I noticed the girls on the autopots looked "droopy" this morning. I had the feeling it was either over or under watering. When I used my water meter it said they were both bone dry??? I lifted them out of their bases and there was a good 1/4in of soily water under each of them. Am i doing something wrong???? why are they not drinking? I stopped the flow at the res, undid the hoses, emptied out the brown water from each of their bases and fed them topside by hand.
you did use the black and gold sided "paper" on the bottom of the autopilots?

Trays keep water, and it wicks up as needed.
Maybe they aren't wicking. @pop22 is the one to help. He is our guru!

OK, so it is natural to have water in the trays all the time. good. I will pm him, thank you :biggrin:

yes water in the trays, always if the lines are not plugged. Water is good to be in trays.
