As some of you may know/remember, I always like to name my girls and this grow I have gone for the Akan onomastics , the days of the week that they were born.


May I present;

So there you have the three A's. Light is 24h cfl/12h led. They are on 2ml root juice and 4ml bio heaven (BIO-BIZZ) per litre of pH'd water.

Hi All,


Day 9


Been a bit sick for the last few days hence the lack of activity on the site. The girls(?) are progressing well.


Lighting schedule is still 24h cfl and now on 18h led, the cfl will come off when they have their third pair of true leaves.


Feeding, I introduced the wonderful Fishmix at the last watering;


1ml Fishmix
2ml Rootjuice
4ml BioHeaven per litre of pH'd water


Sorry for the naff photo's my hands are not as steady this week for some reason?

Got back to the girls this evening, they seem to be enjoying the cfl, so I am going to keep it on 24h for the next week. LED is on 18/6 at the moment, may go to 20/4 when the cfl comes off?


I have now removed the rootjuice from the feeding schedule:


2ml Fishmix
2ml Biogrow
4ml Bioheaven per litre of pH'd water.


Also, dropped my pH down to 6.3 for the next few waterings/feed. Stuck my new pH soil probe into the Plagron and got 7.0, too high me thinks?

What's your thinking for using grow & fish mix together? I was under the impression one could be substituted for the other.

What's your thinking for using grow & fish mix together? I was under the impression one could be substituted for the other.

First time I went Bio-Bizz, it was Fishmix over B-grow always in the first stages! Led to some cal/mag issues later in the grow and I was too slow with a foliar spray of epsom salts! This time I have introduced Bio-Grow in earlier.

At the mo, they are on plain pH'd water (6.5) for the next 2 waterings

(Edit: Yes, you are right they can be used/substituted for each other in the early stages of growth, just playing around and finding the 'goldilocks' spot is the way!)
