I know what you mean there's definitely less control, I guess coz soil is some diverse ecosystem (or at least should be) and its really easy to make feeding mistakes and get the consistency wrong when you switch brand but theres something about plants in soil that is a little more instinctive to me yanno but that's probably coz I grew up in the country working for the golden oldies doing their gardens so it's what I know. Is why I'm switching to coco tho as for horticulture you need experience with soilless and coco seems a good cross over to hydro system maintenence from soil
Yeah, it just seemed to add a lot more unknowns to the grow, actually I'd like to graduate to soil with some cover one day but coco seems to offer the most control without going full hydro which appeals to me the least. That said, I keep lurking on the DWC grows on here so maybe my mind will be changed... I was given a couple of DWC buckets so I should probably give them a go one day but coco's been doing it for me so far.
soils a bit of a pain to get out lol where a vacuum would work on coco
so much this bro!
can’t believe the missus hasn’t strung me up yet, bits of soil and perlite everywhere
Well, I'm not sure that it's much cleaner in that respect but I've got nothing to compare it to. It can get pretty messy when mixing it and make sure you cover your face when your mixing the perlite, you'll fill the room with a white dust that I'm pretty sure has got to be terrible on the lungs.
It's harvest day that things get messy in our place, i'll take a bath and it looks like a vat of pho afterwards.
Oooooh dude! I see what you mean... Yep, hop on board the coco train buddy!Does it do this though?
