New Grower Mephisto Strawberry Nuggets, 4 Assed Monkey & Fantasmo Express x Sour Stomper

Thanks @Medimadness, that's a good idea, I'll pick one today and give it a shot. Sounds like it'll be useful once the fans are on. It's pretty humid in there right now anyway though.

@Mañ'O'Green you'll be pleased to hear that I have switched to 20/4. Hopefully my energy bills will be less scary this time around.

Everyone's looking happy in the tent today on day 3. Gave a light mist and took the domes off. :woohoo:

@NiceOption Sweet glad I could help. BTW try to make it a natural sponge the man made one's seem to heat up easily and hold onto the dust/ muck particles the fans blow round and need replacing often which I find a bit wasteful since they dont wash well.

Im looking forward to seeing how the 4 assed monkey comes along, hadn't heard of the strain till now :growing:

The morning of day 5 and everyone's looking well.

I moved the light down a little and it's now at 55cm above the seedlings, still dimmed to 250w. Sound about right?

I've also ordered a new temp/humidity reader, another clip on fan and some Great White for the roots as @Slater suggested.

A few days of nosing around on AFN have got me yearning for a new lighting set up. I think my next journal will be featuring some cobs... My busted up reflector and my forthcoming energy bills are trying to tell me something.

that great white is great stuff... I use it to dust my roots when transplanting, you can water it in as well which I recommended you do every 2 weeks to keep your microbe population up... In my system I like you use Biosys for the drench, its the exactly same as Great White but comes with extra stuff for the microbes to feed off and live in. Again I like to use this every 1 to 2 weeks. In coco the microbes can't live as long as if they was in soil so you need to keep topping them up to keep up population. You will find it will reduce your need for as much nutes over the grow

I'm not sure man coz obviously it's a pic but it looks as if there may be some very minor stretching, particularly the one closest to the camera but it could be a matter of angle. Maybe if you post a couple close-ups we can give you a better opinion :gary:

At that stage I was incrementally increasing the light personally and they responded really well

Nothing too exciting going on at day 7, but here we are...

Maybe a little bit stretchy?

I turned the light up to 400w today and will turn it to 600W once things get moving.

Waiting on that Great White and will feed in water once some true leaves are showing. Or can it be used right away?

Looks just a little stretchy but definitely within the zone of genetic height differences so I wouldn't worry especially if you increased light. Will find out for yourself soon if they are stretching anyway and it's easy to fix with a stick and or light adjustment.

In terms of Nutes I would wait until you have a couple true leaves developed for sure, but if in soil I would never feed before 2 weeks at the very earliest and even then only tiny concentrations as it should have enough in the mix. In soilless mediums I would normally start out with just a fraction of a quarter of what the bottle recommends and slowly increase the dose to a quarter of the recommended and see how they respond. Some autos can handle all the food from the get go but most don't like too much too quickly

Do you know if you have a pre fortified coco mix? If so I'd treat it like soil and wait for more growth before feeding
