Indoor MedCzech’s ManCave-BioTabs & “The Flavor Chase”

Damnit man! Fast indeed! Light speed! Congratulations brotha...I know this is the most exciting time of all! Looking forward to these trimmed bud porn shots, and reports galore! I know they're coming!
Dont forget to please share your drying and curing techniques, Lord Med:smoking: You are like the plant whisperer.... good shit dude! Think you are a little early for your full moon plans? But like you said...they were ready! That just goes to show the quality of health sustained throughout your grow man...they didnt want for a damn thing, so they did what they had to do and got it over with... and now Medz a happy happy harvester
:poof::greenthumb::slap:
Yeah, this was a little early on the timing with the full moon. It was wishful thinking I guess. The real facts are that these plants just finished up and there isn't much else to say.

I always tell new growers to grow the plant in front of you, not the ideal plant in your mind. I wanted these plants to get to next Wednesday, but they had other plans. I'm a little tired after a long night cleaning up the ManCave and getting ready for tonight's finish of the harvest.
Better pictures and documentation coming...just a little busy yesterday to put together a better report.

Update Day 69 MedCzech's ManCave BioTabs HARVEST:tang:

The Flavor Chase is coming to an end, but the entire idea was to chase that flavor, and we will have to wait a little longer to see how the story ends...(
I hope you will stay tuned and see!):pop:

The last two standing in the tent. Orange Biscuit and Purple Nuggets...looking lovely.

You can really see the structure of the wide PN and the classic candelabra of the OB. Good stuff. I will post more photos I took later on.

IMG_2624.JPG

Purple Monster was a lovely plant to grow. She was always a little bigger than the rest and in the end, she is the smallest. Irony is a bitch...beautiful colors on her and plenty of sticky gooey resin.

IMG_2627.JPG

Orange Biscuit for another close up before the axe fell. Gorgeous plant man! Orange and some light spice in the back with a heavy aroma that is soothing somehow.

IMG_2629.JPG

She got chopped pretty quick. Had both of these girls processed in and hour and a half or so. Easy work really.:headbang:

IMG_2637.JPG

Look at the majestic OB by herself in the tent. Looks like she could have filled it up all alone...amazing to think I had four other plants in there with her.

IMG_2638.JPG

All four girls back in the tent now together. Only this time, their all dead...:yoinks:

Smells lovely though...

IMG_2639.JPG

Plenty of meds for the summer months ahead and into fall before the fall grow gives me some more lovely organic buds.

More pics coming guys...this was a little faster than I would like, but I don't have a lot of time.

Don't worry, more talk about drying, curing, organics versus synthetics in these last couple phases and more pics too!:thanks:

MedCzech's ManCave BioTabs HARVEST cont'd...:tang:

Girls all trimmed up and hanging in the tent, now the drying room. Temp adjusted to 18C and RH 40-50% for two days, the. I will drop temp to 16C and RH keep the same. They should take between four and seven days to reach level one dry. Then they go in jars and now start the burping process for two weeks. At that point most strains are stable at 58-62% RH in their jars. I don't really need to burp jars after that as I am always opening them to grab a bud everyday nearly. :smokeit:

Organic harvest allows for smoking bud right away if you like. There really is a difference in this regard. In fact, with organic weed the cure is over rated with most strains. If I properly dry the bud and do the two weeks cure, the buds at that point, IMO taste as good as they are ever going to get. There are a few strains that when the real cure happens, colors change, and chemical reactions at the cellular level occur, they are better. For me, most Mephisto strains don't change that much in the six months to two years I have them in jars, and most last only last three to four months anyway.

I smoke my buds right away, and even quick dry in paper bags some of it. If done properly, even the quick dry method can result in buds that give me almost 90% the satisfaction of the fully cured stuff. I just think that is really over rated. I have friends that agree with me as well, and think the newer, frostier strains taste so good right after drying due to the high number of trichomes, versus the weed that has high levels of resin and needs a longer cure to reduce harshness. Man, I just smoked some of the Chem Stomper which hasn't even fully dried yet, and it was smooth as hell and kicked my ass! Flavor 10/10 Grape Chemical Candy, soooo goood!

A cure won't make this much better. :nonono:

On to the going on in the ManCave...

IMG_2618.JPG

Before the axe fell, and the lights were turned down low, we got s few more shots of the girls in their glory!

IMG_2620.JPG

And overhead shot Tom show how the Bendz trainers push the stems out wide and allow light to all those little sites down low which now have these rock hard little nugs, not popcorn fluff...:dang:

IMG_2622.JPG

The Orange Biscuit and her dark emerald green foliage. This one has a little more zip I her flavor, more Chem or diesel from the sour orange diesel genetics, and a littlest more yield than her predecessor.

Should give around 100 grams I would think. The buds are very heavy, medium density with this strain. They get their weight from the resin and oil levels being so high. :pie:She ate the most from all the other plants by nearly double.

Some of the lower nugs on the Purple Monster...

IMG_2631.JPG

Working on the PN first thing this morning was a treat. I was smoking the scissor hash before she was even trimmed all the way. Super tasty stuff in the scissor hash. Very heavy duty smoke with red wine spice and berry aftertaste, mixed the the indica mouth feel and lingering effect that you can taste well after you hit the pipe.

I didn't trim them too tight, up they were so easy to do due to their perfect bud structure. The GG was much more work.

Still much to do and the. Get the report to you on how the smoke turned out and what the yields are. I can say that after trimming and hanging all the nugs, I tried again to guesstimate how much might be their total, and I got around 300+ grams as well. I do think the original estimates I gave are going to be very close. In that case I am very satisfied with this first Grow using BioTabs. I have a couple ideas how to improve things! New lights may be coming this fall! Maybe something big too. I have been contemplating the Electric Sky, QB boards generation 3 with multispectrum including UV and IR, California Lightworks full spectrum control with additional UV, or just adding two more cobs to what I have now. I have some decisions to make for sure.

Great work dude! You deserve an awesome harvest! You have some stoned days ahead of you my man...gonna be nice lol
How long do you take a break? Will you still be around...or do you go dark when not growing??

Thanks AJ! The harvest went well and really easy. Plenty of new meds for the cabinet. I have been testing this stuff already, and all five plants gave me some tasty buds, but the initial winner looks to Ben the smallest yield...the Chem Stomper has the tastiest buds so far, IMO, but I haven't really tested any good buds up top and nothing has had a proper cure either.

I will be around for sure, but I am taking a trip st the end of June and will be dark during those three weeks, then when I return, I must decide if I will start a run in July, August, or September. I really don't need to rush it now that I am growing Mephisto only, and they almost always finish in less than 70 days or so.

Wow Med, nice growing. Beautiful plants, I so wish there was a scratch and sniff feature, maybe a future xenforo upgrade Lol

Omg the coloring on the grape — really something else. A treat to the eyes!

I will get some nice bud pics and do a report on the smoke as well. They are all top notch smokes though for sure.
The Purple Nuggets has such a beautiful flavor already, and the colors are sweet. She has this purple/ hot pink color when you pop open a nug and tastes like some forest red fruits and lots of sweet, additional subtleties that will get enhanced during the cure. All have some great taste for sure, but the Chem Stomper will probably be the winner of the Flavor Chase. Very similar taste to Double Grape, but more chemical aftertaste. Too bad we only got 22 grams from her.

All looking great in your tent as well. The GSC from FB will Ben yummy is you get the right phenotype, and the same for the C.cookies from DP. Both very yummy, but you do need to get the correct pheno to get the super dupe right dope the names suggest. Should be lots of great meds there. Plenty of flavor a small well.

Your scratch and sniff idea would be awesome, maybe some day stuff like that will be possible.
