Here is what I use to make rosin.

After ebay and getting my press from jegs im only $400.00ish in but i didn't have to get the biggest heat plates i could.

Yours looks nice to me. Ya can be pricey. I coulda built mine cheaper but reallt just wanted something smaller. Its made in america and lifetime warranty on all parts. Thats a bonus. I really love mine. Just hit 19 percent return with afghan kush ryder grown under blurples. ive pressed about a half ounce so far. Still dialing in but the pollen press definitely increased my return. Maybe they make a small dabpress thing for small presses.

This looks too big for my press. Looks nice though. What makes it so much different than a pollen press? That parts dont break? Do you use you put that in your press then form your "brick" then remove and squish?

You can put more in than pollen press 1st, a lot more which will save you time pressing. I need 2g's of rosin to make a batch of gummies, I can get that in 1 squish. 2nd the "puck", its shape helps keep more rosin out of your material better. Also if using rosin filter they are perfectly shape to go in. Nothing wrong with a pollen press just small scale. Functionality is little better with the 2x4 pre press and no parts to really break. What size are your plates.

I have a husky jack from home depot. You also need a rosin press plate kit too. Got mine on Ebay.

Are they heated?

Yes, I run around 210° normally.
