Indoor Loft grow help

If you can run the intake where it is taking air from the house that would be best as that is the coolest air, it is going to be tough battling temps in the summer time so it might be really hard to do without an ac. Not trying to bum you out but it is better than getting everything set up and not being able to use it you know

Not bumming me out at all dude these are the things i need to know! Got a tent i run in the house but really want to go stealth throughout atleast the winter period , having a period of during the summer or having to go back to the tent in the summer isnt really a problem , would just be nice to have 6 months a year where it can be done on the quiet so i can have friends and fam round , my main worry is copper detection does what ive said about the mylar/insulation/boarding sound like it will do it , can always buy new bits and bobs to sort temps out thats not a worry its the getting caught thats my main issue

Oh shit then yeah if you are going to do it in the winter months this is a great idea! You can get some serious lighting in there because you can suck cold air from outside and keep it nice and cold. Check out the grow in my sig, I grew those in the winter and was able to run both my 1000 watt HPS's in a space not much bigger than what you have there. So yeah I would basically build a box out of fiberboard/insulation board and tape the outside of that with the shiny tape and line the inside with mylar(you can also get the insulation board that has the shiny mylar on it already

Sound dude sounds a gooden just had a quick flick through your grow going to have a proper look later
So from the inside out how does this sound , mylar , insulation board , inbetween the trust insulation roll then back of the truss polystyrene sheet
Think im just going to have it as a winter room for now and run the tent in the summer
Could run both the intake and extraction down into the same cupboard in the house so it recirculates the warm air

You wont even need to do that, well depending on what light you have and how sealed your room is the lights will keep it plenty warm. Think about it like this if you got a little Styrofoam cooler and put a bright light bulb inside it and closed the lid how warm would it get and stay in there?

Hey also I may have already invited you, but you should come to the Live Stoners thread. It is a great way to get to know a lot of the best growers on the planet and a wonderful way to get answers to questions and just hang out and have a good time. Here is what you do, just get a little picture to use as your avatar(you don't have to do this but it helps us all identify you as there are lots of members who have the blank avatar) then follow this link https://www.autoflower.org/threads/live-stoner-gossip.35098/page-2688#post-1107593 when you get there just tell them that I sent you and introduce yourself a little bit you know your growing style, exp etc. Then everyone else will do the rest and give you a proper welcome to AFN. I am there all the time so I will be there to welcome you as well

I've seen this photo floating around the internet, and it was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned growing up in a loft/attic/crawl space.. Be EXTREMELY careful how you work your ventilation, or you'll look like this guy, and get busted when the neighbors noticed an unusual melting of snow on the top of one of the buildings.. You're gonna want the warm air blowing out or down into the home, and you're gonna want to make sure your insulation is up to speed in the area..

Planning on venting straight back down into the house so hopefully that wont be an issue , not going to be running alot of light either think 2x400w bulbs
How would for example 50mm of insulation inbetween to polystyrene sheets insulate compared to a 50mm celotex board? Is it really worth the extra money?
The trusses are 7cm deep so i could have 7cm of insulation and then a polystyrene sheet either side to hold it in or celotex boards fitted to the front of the trusse instead

That will save a nice few pennies! Does there need to be an air gap between the insulation and polystyrene if its just attatched to the trusses or is this only for when your by the tiles/felt
