Speaking of interesting rubs, I was wandering around the Magical Butter Machine site tonight checking out their topical and lotion recipes and spotted this interesting rub and Italian dressing mix recipe:

Ingredients
⅛ ounce/3½ g high-quality herb, decarboxylated
2 tablespoons/30 ml dried oregano
2 tablespoons/30 ml pink Himalayan salt
1 tablespoon/15 ml garlic salt
1 tablespoon/15 ml onion powder
1 tablespoon/15 ml white sugar
1 tablespoon/15 ml dried parsley
1 teaspoon/5 ml ground black pepper
1 teaspoon/5 ml dried basil
¼ teaspoon/1¼ ml dried thyme
¼ teaspoon/1¼ ml celery salt

How To
Place all the ingredients into a food processor and and pulse for 2 seconds, 10 times.
Pour your Italian Dressing and Dry Rub Mix into a spice shaker, and it’s ready to use!

What do you guys think......straight herb as a seasoning?
:chef:

Hell yeah, looks like a good seasoning! Have you ever seen the show Bong Appétit?

Quick and easy Thanksgiving dinner when it's just a household of two people. Sevenish pound turkey breast, some Stove Top, gravy mix, canned cranberry sauce, and instant potato mix. I know.....I know....to much instant mix stuff...but yummy just the same. :jointman:

P.S....The turkey skin turned the weird pink color because I tried out the hot Cheetos as a seasoning recipe....didn't add much flavor wise to be honest but then I didn't slather them on too thick, either :chef:

I'll try to take some pics of our day late Thanksgiving feast. Gonna have an apple wood smoked turkey as that has been requested, ham since Mother-n-law can't eat turkey. Then the wife has been making pies/cheesecake and other fixings so we'll be ready.

:smokeout: :crisps: :pie: Happy Post T-Day American foodie-homies!

>> A-Train:pass: where you at? :eyebrows:

>> O3- I have to wonder about ground decarb'ed bud for flavor,... with nearly all the terp's driven off at that point, what's left but grassy essence? Maybe an olive oil extract may have more flavor with the terp's getting held some by the oil..? Hmm, a coco rub,..thinking a mole derived theme here!.. with various chili's, like pasilla, a little chipotle for some smoky flavah,... on pork or chicken! Gonna have to experiment on that!

...... :smoking: Dudeski, interesting show,... alas, I'm not an edibles fan to it's all academic to me!

>>> Bushmaster' :eyebrows: -- great minds think alike! :d5:... I smoked a beaut' too, about 13lbs, with 50/50 pecan and apple wood,... folks said this was the best yet for smoke flavor! ...married-up so well with the rub,... ... I spaced the camera when we left for my brothers place, so sadly, just the turkey porn!
