I'll have the other end cut of the ribby. What is that in the first pic? If I had to take a stab it looks like maybe Swordfish or Shark in a pesto sauce but ya never know.

Thinking about trying a crown roast for Xmas since I'm not sure I want to do turkey again, and have never had one. Anyone ever tried one? Worth the hassle?

(random web pic of one for any that don't know what I'm talkin' about :smoking:)

Do it. Straight up throw back to 1957. Serve it with some nice cheese fondue with some bakery bread hunks for dipping and a Jell-O ring mold with fresh fruit for a serious blast from the past that still stands today.

Here is a 8 rib pork crown roast stuffed with acorn dressing. They did a throwback dinner. Here is the link with the full recipe:

Also....FLAN!!! Perfect for a throwback!! Or even Creme Brulee.

On a side note.....crown roast must have really been all the rage back in the day. These fools would literally make one every chance they could get, including some random Tuesday when finances where tight. LETS JUST USE OSCAR MAYER HOT DOGS she says. ITS THE SHAPE THAT COUNTS she says. I think SHE WAS WRONG.
