We usually have Colombian tamales for Christmas, in the style of my wife's homeland in Huila, Colombia. It's a whole meal wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. Yellow rice, yellow corn masa, vegetables, pork, chicken, chorizo, seasoned with sautéed garlic, green onions, yellow onions, and tomatoes). With hot chocolate (not the instant kind).
