I dont know ANYONE who eats turkey again on Christmas except I guess @Fermented_Fruitz . That's wild. Must be a texas thing cause I've literally never had turkey on Christmas, that's a sin around these parts. I live in a Mexican house so it's all about the Tamales!!!!! Y tambien champurado! We usually have other stuff like Albondigas or Pozole but christmas isn't really a sit down and eat a specific meal at the table kinda holiday. More of a grab and go type of deal with lots of treats. Sort of like a potluck, it's always different and random. But ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Tamales!
We also have 20 to 30 people here every year so it would be too chaotic to all sit and eat at once.
My exs family was the same. Tamales and rice for the people just coming in n out and then albondigas , pozole, tacos de sesos , some kind of fried sweet potato thing n whatever that coffee chocolate cakey fluffy thing is for dessert.

We have a couple salvadoreans in the fam too so they usually bring the casamiento which is just rice n beans mixed up together. But my wife is Mexican/Guatemalan so yeah it's a whole Lotta different foods for sure.

You ever had deep fried potato tacos? We usually have that too but those are dangerous I can pack those down after a few alcoholic egg nog shots.
