Howdy peeps. Just had a lovely chat with Autopotamus about ec and ph for coco in autopots. I was curious why so many say the ec needs to be low to start yet my plants look great even though my seedling ec is around 1.8. His reply was “if youre at 2 for a seedling and having success it’s because you are supplying enough wattage. Can’t have high wattage and low ec or low wattage and high ec. I’m at 2-2.2 to start but I give plenty of light”. Told him this made perfect sense because I’ve always started my seedlings at about 5-600 ppfd even though “recommended” is like 2-300. As for ph he says it’s imperative (at least for the autopot) that ph be 5.8-6.0. I had a nice first attempt at autopots but my stalk and stems were real purple and some leaves just dried up and died but the buds were nice but not 100% of what I’m used to. Coincidentally I was having some problems keeping the ph steady because I discovered late that the numbers vary about .2 when the pump is running or not, thus the doser would add ph when not necessary occasionally. Just thought I’d share ✌🏻

Edit- he says he rarely pays attention to ec because it’s nowhere near as important as the ph

That's the one! Damn it!
I was too High the other day when I went to their site to make an order and couldn't remember which one it was that I wanted! They didn't have any damned Sour Stomper, so that kind of just threw me off!
I'll just have to use the ones that I selfed. I was hoping to get maybe a green pheno for one time.

Oh well! In the end, it doesn't really matter that much! I already have way too much genetics now to fully utilize! :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :face::face::face:

Especially with the results of the Asian Haze seed making!:biggrin::eyebrows::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:
It was extremely stupidly successful!..................... Yeah I think I got the order right.:biggrin:

I thought about @Mossy Suggestion of beating the branches in a bucket could pop the seeds off that were ripe.

I said,
"Fuck it! In for a penny, in for a pound!"
I made some more charas!:biggrin::eyebrows::eyebrows:
Yeah, I rubbed every single one of those buds between my two palms on that second plant!
:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Yeah, it's almost the same amount of seeds as the first. :biggrin::haha::haha:
I've got quite a bit of it thinned down. And to finalize it pretty much with hand sorting. I'm letting them dry out a bit more in the walk in closet where the temperature is very stable and it is trending in the mid to low 60s.

It's gonna be quite a bit.:biggrin::haha:
I think I might have over dood it!............. Pronounced as one word.

With the monsters that he grows, I would take that as the gospel! :woohoo:

High School Yummies is due to be released in February. Don't sleep on these strains when they are released! School Yard Crush and her crosses are unique critters, they're oily as can be and SYC's louder than loud Cereza 🍒 terps are stupendous!
