It doesn't have to be pretty to be strong bare in mind how dirty the material is also.. Don't get me wrong those weld could be much better with the right welder and operator
I was gonna say its just boogers on top of boogers, honestly the guy that did this is probably long gone, i know it wasnt anyone here now. I have very minimal experience, only thing ive ever used to weld was an oxy acetylene torch in shop class.
