Order barley straw mulch from build a soil! Its what i use! Or u can get a bag of rice hulls and pour them on top of soil!
The barley straw stuff u can even get a log thats been pre activated with mycelium for added benefits but u gotta use that all at once and it dont take much! I use the regular stuff personally! Shipping is cheap AF on that if not free last i recall!
Surprised you "splurge" on that.
Saw a couple of bags in a store around here and it looked like a minuscule amount for$20. Got everything to do my own now. With all the info absorbed over the last two days, think I may start growing some some "regular" shrooms. Lion's Mane, Reishi, turkey tails....
Ugh!!!!! I hate late night, week day harvests. I'm spent but it had to be done and just in time because I found a little bud rot. This is going to be a tough week.

Yup...we are Noticing some Big Gaps on certain time zones......
