What color the opposite treads? A light color might make it easier to get down the stairs in dim light. OSHA would love it.

It'll be the same color. We keep the light over the stairs on, I won't go down stairs without it. I've fallen too many times to not.

If i had to guess same color! Think she did every other step so she had a place to stand while painting or something of that ilk!
