@PinkyNotTheBrain i use an ardent FX too but i used to do it old fashioned way! 3hrs is plenty!

I never added water into my butter tho! Butter or oil + plant material (decarbed prior or after) and let it go! Make sure to stir it and u are golden! Pretty sure i did it at 240F tho not 170! 170 is for making tincture without going over alcohol vaporization point!

Also i used the ol tcheck but last batch of oil i made i used 4 old jars of the stem and leaf leftovers from when i break up buds for blunts and then like 10g if larf! Made like 3/4 of a quart mason jar in oil and its 584mg per tablespoons!

Yeah and not to mention butter is already 16-18% water and that water/fat should be removed, technically. Which is why ghee (clarified butter) is a better option. Cuts out the whole process of clarifying your own butter.

Got my crockpot back so with the last 3 zips imma try this method, the water and 3 jars hold temp at 170° so how long? 3 or 4 hours?
