Well this is only my 6th press and I’ve tried 197-207 so far but I’ve only been pressing for about 2 minutes. I have no clue about this stuff still experimenting
Man! I'm down to 180 for about 6 mins. And still get the sticky icky. Brought it up to 200 and still get the same darn thing. It's good but it's just a pain to deal with.
I havent run the same bud twice yet but I’ve seen dark and sticky 2 of the 5 times, it was Rocbud and Sour Crack. Had to put them in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before scraping, Other 3 were super easy to handle right away
I’m just going by the XP video from Nugsmasher and they do 2 minutes so I assumed that was like a standard. Ill be trying various combos of heat and timing as I go. This was my first run doing a warmup, had no idea til LilDab mentioned it. Learning on the go I am

Starting product makes the biggest difference just like jp said. Only other thing I’ve noticed is leafier bud will be darker rosin. I think the amount of chlorophyll is what cause it with fresher bud be darker
two minutes does seem like a short time but like i said the other night the tell tale will be to press it again slightly more pressure and longer time to see what’s left in there. Most the time second pressing will tastes like crap. I find it not worth and just leave the rosin the puck for edibles. But I have done a bunch of second pressing to know what’s left to come out.
@DDubs you need to get your puck up to full pressure sooner after the first minute you should see some movement. What’s the moisture of the bud? I was drying my stuff out too far when I first started pressing
