Some tap water is a good way to get the Cal-mag back into the RO. What your doing is fine. Some starting water is so bad that adding some tap back in just brings too much carbonates.Man I wasn't even the one asking the question but now I'm confused what's new I know
So in your opinion this way using RO with 50ppm calmag is better then cutting the tap water with RO to <100ppm? I've done it all ways I think now and thought I was settled on tap/RO but now I am second guessing my self I did have good luck using RO and calmag thought i had better luck with tap/RO but it could be other things
I do have a whole house salt water softener installed before the RO but the tap water I use is before the softener
Don't use straight RO for seedlings, (or any plants) when exposed to air it becomes too acidic.I fill up a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit out for 24-72 hours. Has been super easy. I don't think I am going to treat seedlings this way. They will get Ro water. I feel like this is something I can get away with when plants are mature.
I have dove all over the Caribbean, well over 300 dives. I dream of finding a cob, silver or gold. The only thing of value I have found was a brand new set of regulators. They could not have been in the water more than a couple of days. The local dive shop gave me a couple hundred dollars for them.TY for the rep @Mañ'O'Green I remember seeing a post with you scuba diving. I started snorkling and found a very large ships anchor or grappling hook that had broke off a chain sitting in shallow water in Lake Michigan. Would rather find gold in small easy to move pieces
