I really hope dude answers with what sensors he cleaned so I don’t waste time cleaning it again! I’m just not confident in his diagnosis cuz after he cleaned throttle body it idled high as fuck to where would throw engine light and his response was I THINK u just need to replace entire throttle body so his guess as to what needed to be done didn’t inspire confidence that he was all that great! Most mechanics don’t think u need to do something it either needs it or not! And the fact 30 seconds on google showed me i needed to do idle learn procedure once throttle body is cleaned and idled perfectly after that but fact didn’t fix issue obviously makes me think some of those sensors screwed into throttle body are also prob caked in carbon buildup and not sure if they were cleaned or if he just cleaned the MAF since its easy to pull out!

ooof, I had that happen once. Used to be these shitty gas stations where I went to college called Busters Bi-Lo. They only took cash, and would round to the closest $1, and they pumped your gas for you. Super aggressive assholes, too. But they were always 10-15 cents cheaper than anywhere else.

They ended up going out of business because they kept selling shitty gas, and eventually fucked up a whole bunch of peoples cars and couldn't afford to pay out.

Nonsense! Putting the outstanding tolls on a payment plan tomorrow and then i can finally go register my ford focus! Been sitting for 3yrs cuz sister ran up tolls so high I couldn’t get it registered! I do need to go get a few gas cans of premium unleaded since gas is almost empty and sat a while! Then i can safely start it and go fill it up and add some rubbing alcohol to evaporate any water out the gas!

Oh no don't do that.
Disconnect that filter, attach attach a line to it to a tank or bucket and drain that tank. Drain as much as you can and then maybe add 1/2 a gallon and do it again. If it doesn't drain on its own you can cycle the key and it will run for a short period Of time. I think the focus has a set. The pump will run until the fuel pressure regulator kicks in when it reaches pressure. And then put a fresh filter on.

It would have been far better to store the car up with a full tank of gas.



Edit.................... Either way hopefully your sock on your fuel pump doesn't get just clogged up with ****

oh man. Just got some amazing news. My bonus is going to be about 50% higher this year. I just started qualifying for bonuses at work, this is my 2nd year.

And its going to be enough after taxes to pay off my highest credit card.

This is going to be an insane stress relief off of me.

Lmao when i stopped driving it was when we had a huge snowstorm and my sister borrowed car and apparently slammed a snow bank cuz she came back dragging the fucking ecu under the car cuz she broke the plastic plate it mounts to! Got the piece to replace it but didn’t mess with it since I couldn’t register the damn thing!
