It will taste like weed pretty strong in your brownies so only thing I’d recommend using it in unless u like the taste of eating weed! I don’t remember it having a toasted taste like decarbed weed does but this was 1000’s of blunts ago so what do I know!

Yeppers, decarbed first.. old school i used to do 45 minutes in the oven @240F before i got the ardent

Most of the steel in my press was stuff I had in the pile. I am a bit of a packrat.

As to the wiring issue bouncing around about this project, I second @Mañ'O'Green's message, wiring house voltage stuff is hardball, so you need to be careful. If you are not confident with this stuff, you will need to get some hand's on advice from someone who is. The circuitry is pretty simple for someone with an electrical background so you may know someone who could help.

@DaleDenton, I checked the plates on my press, and they are 3"x5"x1"

Is their anything in your design you would change?
I could build one no problem. Being a electrician and able to weld a cast iron dick on a snowman. Have plenty of steel.
