Morning @Mara Cachafa , hope youre having a rad day!
Thanks, @KingRatt. Feeling good. I got the kids to school by 7:15, edited a college essay on google docs for my protegé in MN (cheated with a citation generator to get MLA citation format), had Lemon Z infused MCT oil in my cocoa, not sure of dosage yet on the latest batch. Ready for a walk at 65°F. How's life?

Morning Dabs!

Morning KR

Do you know how long a day/night lasts when you have no net or TV.....and your tablet is down to the fumes of its battery.......?..........weeks...

Lecky was down 9 hours... hubbys laptop died on him..,.

Do you know how noisy humans are when you don't have the cover of the TV....?........

Hubby eating...my gawd...

Hubby playing solitaire...but he taps with his finger nail instead of the pad of his finger...tap tap tap...for about 4 hours....

And...he was even breathing........:crying:...

When Lecky come back on we tried resetting the TV/net so much we flattened the batteries in the remote control...so we had to give up then.....:headbang:...this morning we cannibalised the phone batteries.......it doesn't need them..it is off as well.

We just keep trying intermittently to see if it has come back...not yet...but I am happy to have me net back.

Yeah I can’t do the complete slience to fall asleep least need a fan or something

In my daughter's fishing village in S. America there was no TV or phones when I got there, and everybody would sit in front of their houses telling stories until time to go to bed. It was delightful. If you walked down the dark dusty street people would want you to stop and chat at each house. One day while the men were out fishing, a ship smuggling Chinese electronics broke down nearby, and started tossing their cargo overboard in case the authorities showed up. All the fishing boats came home that day loaded with 12" B&W TV's. The village was never the same. Fishermen started abandoning their nets at 11 AM to come home in time for "The Lone Ranger" dubbed in Spanish, and in the evenings the streets were deserted, everybody inside huddled around the tube. Progress.

One advantage of being mostly deaf, I don't hear night noises. The wife has to shake me to let me know my alarm is going off in the morning, I don't hear it at all unless it's on vibrate under my pillow.

My neighbor used to extract coconut milk that way, grate the coconut meat, add water, squeeze and strain. She used it to make coconut fish soup, or coconut rice. RIP Kata.
You can do the same thing with dried coconut flakes…… cover them with boiling water….wait for it to cool, and use cheesecloth to squeeze…. :pass:
