Oh hey AHEM....

BROWN BAG DRYING

Can someone give me the details? I need to do some chopping but idk what my plan is for drying (I could do the downstairs bathroom again but idk if I wanna since last time I forgot about my plants in there while I was remodeling the kitchen and they turned into crispy critters)
I hang the whole plant for 3-5 days until the leaves feel dry and then cut the buds off the stems into one layer deep in a bag. I also put one of those cheap hydrometer's into the bag(s) as well to let me know when it is time to Grove bag or jar the buds for the cure. 63-65% rh

Good day to all. Hope everyone is doing well and those who have been experiencing pain have little or no pain today.
Question regarding a 50/50 coco/perlite mix.
IF you had to buy premixed coco what would you buy. This is just for my first grow in maybe July or August, will learn to make my own later. Also I would assume that I should rinse the coco mix. What would that rinse process look like?
As always thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Do the whole process yourself. I've learned to never trust coco actually being rinsed or buffered for autos and you'll have a much more consistent start if you put the work in on the beginning

@Suki I only brown bag dry. Can do it fresh chopped into the bags or hang for a bit then bag. Can also play with slowing it down by putting the bags into plastic bags. Got a specific question?
Probably but I finally got this hash to cherry and I'm trying to see how much of it I can smoke before my 20 minute timer is done lol

You sold me on it, I like the brown bag method. It's the only method I have tried that I didnt do any over drying. Bud size doesnt seem to make a drying difference cause it kind of rehydrates the small buds while drying out the big ones. Then they all come down to the same rh. IMO.

I might retry it. I prob put too much work and thought into it… I was kinda an indoor newb when I did it first time.
