I don't use Jiffy pots I had a terrible experience with them....
Jiffy plugs are not the same as Jiffy pots. The peat pots, in my experience, seriously interfere with root growth, the plugs do not. Contrary to marketing claims, I found that the peat pots do not break down quickly enough to allow free penetration of roots when the entire pot is planted in the final soil or pot. I still use the plugs because they are easily available locally, and work well to get seedlings started and duds identified before final planting. I will never use the peat pots again, they are a waste of money and do not allow normal root development, at least not quickly enough for our favorite plant. :pighug:

I use jiffy plugs...or 2x2 rockwool cubes as a supplement to Jiffy works great in coco ..

Wait what's white label seeds? And are these ac infinity bags worth it?

I dig the peat pellets. Root riot cubes would be a might better cuz less density but peat works fine for me

I have great success with the root riot plugs. No mesh or net to push through. I like this vs the direct plant method because I can tell pretty quickly if the seedling is a dud.

I cut lengthwise, place the seed with a short tail about a half inch from the top and moisten. So long as they are moist, not wet, I have no damping off issues.

I plant into final homes now if I do anything like it is in the same media I am growing in and I start in a solo cup then transplant but 90% of my plants are germinated in their final homes soak the seed then straight to the pot :headbang:
