5x5 is fine, it’s what I use. You won’t find a tray to fit.

I like my 5x5 and thought I would enjoy the xtra space to move around a little. But then found it maxed out and no room to move in! The lack of enough pfd in the corners bugs the crap out of me. If you got the space and budget, do it!

Everyone hates on fox farms soil but I seem to be doing okay. Not the highest yields (3oz max from 1 plant) but I'm able to finish a plant with very little effort and actually have decent results. Not perfect by any means but I'm having fun not getting caught up with a bunch of bull shit, just start to finish and I learn something new everytime and most importantly I enjoy doing it. I don't think my plants look half bad. So don't be so quick to listen to someone shit on fox farms soil for an absolute beginner. Just try whats easier for you to get from start to finish with a plant on your own that's the most important thing. Then expand from there.

In my opinion, you can have too much info. It’s weed. It’s nature. It’s never going to be perfect….do the best you can…but remember. It’s weed. We like it because it helps us chill, relax, enjoy. That should start with the growing process.

A 5x5 gives plenty of room, certainly makes up for the room lost to walls being sucked in by the fan. It’s the perfect size for 6, 5 gallon pots and a thousand watt or equivalent light.

A 4x4 turns into a 3x3 when the walls get sucked in….

I’m a fan of the simplicity of hand watering. The more automation you incorporate, the more issues, stress and floods you’ll get. I fucking hate flooding..

What light? I have zero larf and my light stays at the top of the tent… I’ve got solid buds, no larf.

I think people only dislike it because of the bug factor. I use happy frog in my outdoor beds every year and like it.
