With Fert Teas......IMO........it doesn't matter What you put in.............once it ferments it all smells like Shite..........

But I made one with Lavender Heads...and it is the Only hoomemade fert I've ever had that smelled decent.

Some that I make that don't smell to bad are the tea based ones an some of the fruit juices especially tropical fruits with a lil molasses really end up smelling pretty nice I always dilute a lot an do add other feeds with it like kelp or some fish fertilizer.

I'm busting to get to my local garden centre to pick up a comfrey plant for fermentation. I picked up a pre brewed batch (bo off an organic soil web site In the uk to try out. I added it to my compost tea at the end. Never seen my lady's react so fast to an input. Preying within the hour, I could just tell that there was some special in that furment. Only down side it f-ing stinks bad as it's an anaerobic ferment. But I do think it worth the hassle and smell.

I got Borage....coz it self seeds in the garden and grows wit the winter rains...so it is good to rotovate in in Spring...or mulch the apple tree......plus it flowers lovely Blue when there is not much else....

And you can use the flower in salads......

I might need to get some grape fert tea going this year.....it is just late in the season to make by the time the grape ripen......althouh saying that....the cuttings would do a similar job...hmmmm.
