Sugar feeds make them Stink.............I don't know scientifically if it increases terps....but is sure as hell increases the smell...which is terps.....

If I am Hunting males......once they hit sex I give them 1 pint of watter to 1 Teaspoon of sugar.......twice in 3 days and it releases all the Hidden terps.......View attachment 1478694

I think the science comes down to the microbes. We feed them carbohydrates and in turn they give back to the plant. Making them extra smelly.
Since introducing compost teas my turp game up it self quite considerabley. I now have to be super carefull when cracking some jars around the house, especially if the in-laws are on there way over.
I made some hash with GMO a few weeks back, that stuff is loud. Misses could smell it coming up the driveway. I'm now band to the GR for hash making.

I was just like one of his comedy sketch tales, where confronts his son that has cut his own hair one day.
His Mom had to go to the store, so I went to his room to check on him. He was supposed to be putting his toys away. Naturally, that wasn't happening! He was inside his closet. making car sounds. I lid back one of the doors and there his big ol head with a butchered haircut.

When his Mom returned...........Hey! Go check out your son!
The scream and her saying his FULL NAME, was just too much!
I busted out laughing!

Then she said my FULL NAME!
I shut the F up!

She went thru the same convo as I did!
I had to go outside to roll in laughter in my freshly mowed lawn.

She caught me!
I thought I was in for it. No cell phones back then, so i could say bye to Mom, but she bust out laughing?

With Fert Teas......IMO........it doesn't matter What you put in.............once it ferments it all smells like Shite..........

But I made one with Lavender Heads...and it is the Only hoomemade fert I've ever had that smelled decent.

I picked up a new to me product at the grow store close to my Vet buddy. I use Roots Organic media, so the Terp Tea bag caught my eye. I didn't know they had different blends, I got the grow version at the time.
I'll get the others later for trying all of them in the next grow. It seems like a good product. I got a very nice bloom when I brewed it.

You can make them into teas and brew them or you can top dress and water in.

I'm busting to get to my local garden centre to pick up a comfrey plant for fermentation. I picked up a pre brewed batch (bo off an organic soil web site In the uk to try out. I added it to my compost tea at the end. Never seen my lady's react so fast to an input. Preying within the hour, I could just tell that there was some special in that furment. Only down side it f-ing stinks bad as it's an anaerobic ferment. But I do think it worth the hassle and smell.
