I'm mixing up some soil for a 5 layer greenstalk vertical planter I got as a gift and I'm needing help with mixing up some soil for tomorrow, i think i have everything already in the garage. I have an idea what to mix but I would like to hear how much lime i should use for 1 whole bale of peatmoss as i want this to be 2 separate mixes in a blue kiddie pool

I'm only needing 5cu for the vertical planter but excess is always welcomed as I'll use it for my indoor stuff too later. I'm guessing it kind of needs to be wicking grade of soil to work well in this planter so any help is welcomed :toke:

1x bag of perlite 4cu
2x bale of peat moss 3cu each
2x black kow manure 1cu each
2x kellogs raised bed and potting mix 2cu each
2x humus/manure 1cu each
5 gallon bucket of buildaflower
1-2 gallon size bag of craft blend
5lb Epson salt
5lb garden lime
5lb worm castings
5lb 3-5-6 dry organic tomato fertilizer
full bag of tm-7
few cups of bone/blood meal as my dog tore the bags open -.-

Don't do it in the dirt if you want the posts to last more than 5 years.

These posts have been in service for 18+ years without any sign of rot!

My eyes are awful, is that concrete all the way across? Ours are set in concrete currently but they're just little blobs around the posts and the top of the concrete part is a few inches under the dirt. With the expand/contract there's space between the concrete and posts that has trapped dirt and moisture and has caused it to rot from the bottom up. At this point I've put a pin in the fence portion anyways, we ended up spending the day putting down the pavers for the "shed island" and then getting a pattern drawn out to connect the patio and that island. Have to get more sand tomorrow to finish but its all laid out so I could get my eyeballs on the full configuration.

I've seen that planter before. I can see using it outside. Inside is gonna have to take a bit stoner inventiveness. Maybe a top and two side lights and rotate the girl a 1/4 turn a day.
Two in a 4x4 tent and filled with little sour stompers. LOL!
Put it on a motorized lazy susan to get even coverage from the side lights. LOL!

Crazy. Doesn't look like your plants are light stressed though. Any chance the light is flickering or acting weird? Like when it turns on?
I think it's possible that Autofuel hermied first in one spot and I didn't catch it. Then, well, you know.

Had to go back to lowes this afternoon cause I needed to be able to lay the first set of bricks out to figure out where exactly stuff was going to go (common measurement vs actual measurement is dumb af). Started with 13 and the 4 pavers and then once I got it drawn out I needed 73 more. Left hubby at home getting the area prepped and went to get the rest of the bricks, 2 bags of base, and another bag of sand. Loaded it all up on the flat cart, dragged the damn thing all the way to the front of the store cause for some stupid reason they close the garden center at 6, and then loaded all but the last 4 bricks and the three bags into the car when some random dude stopped while he was walking by and was like "excuse me miss, do you have that under control?" I looked at him and said no (but apparently not loud enough for him to hear) and he was like "what was that?" Told him that yes, I did indeed have it under control, and then I hefted the two bags of paver base over my shoulder and put them in just to make a point. He turned to his companion and was like "those things are like 50lbs each, I was just trying to help":rofl:
