Man, NNY weather is not nice to surveyors this spring! Rain,rain and snow, sun and 70, rain and snow, rain... etc. you get the picture! And in my birthday no less..!
I worked for a surveyor one summer when I was a kid. It was a hell of a lot easier than hauling square bale hay, just not as lucrative. At least Mom didn't have to sew knee patches on my Levis jeans that summer! I remember that old International Scout the surveyor had for the remote work. Great rig, but tended to overheat. I told him I could stop that crap. I had him come over and I flushed that nasty ass cooling system, changed the thermostat, replaced the fan with a properly spaced flex fan and gave the damn thing a tune up. Never overheated the remainder of the summer I worked for him. He was surprised a 16yr old kid knew that much about cars. He didn't know I had been doing all the maintenance on my Dad's vehicles since 10yrs old.
