Lemon Z - Dutch Passion - Growing Contest 24/25 - EU/UK/US

Wk3 Day18
  • The sisters got a little LST love today! Tied them down to a 45* angle and put a tie holding the base from the opposite side. I plan on flipping to 12/12 in about 1-2 weeks, i will peobably drop the scrog net in a day or two when everything starts growing toward the light again. These Genetics seems very trainer friendly! Also, i am fairly sure i ended up with two distinct phenotypes. One is more squat with shorter distance between nodes and deeper richer green to the leaves. The other is more lanky with more space between nodes. Its not a big difference but its more and more obvious every day.❤️🙏🌱

    Day25
  • The sisters got haircuts!!! They were both fed 1/2gal. last night with 50% Fox Farm soil trio wk3(its what i like for veg), with 25% dose of BloomCity silica boost, and a heaping teaspoon of blackstrap molasses per gallon. Pretty heavy defol but they need it and it will help when i flip to 12/12. Heres a before and after.

i will use wire or pipecleaners to hold down what the net cant, or to take slack out of parts, it aint pretty but it works lol

    Day29
  • The girls are at about 75% net coverage so tonight i flipped the lights to 12/12!!! Im so stoked for this strain, the last week the bottom tnet with the Lemon Z has been stinkier(in a good way) than the 3 autos in the tent above that are a couple wks into flower! Anyway heres a pic of the canopy before she starts her stretch! I can tell these are gonna be killer!!! 8-9wk countdown starts now!

    Day33 wk1 flower
  • So i gave the girls another heavy defol/schwazz and work on training some branches the way i want them to go. I think im on my way to filling the canopy quite nicely! Heres a canopy shot after defol so you can see the structure of the plants better! They were watered yesterday with the first wk of flower transition at 75% on the fox farm soil trio feed schedule with with silica kelp and a small pk boost! They look good!!! Probably 1-2 more heavy defols before they finish. Im really putting in the effort to keep light penetration at a maximum! Ive also been using zip ties on the scrog net to help with keeping branches down, it works good

the plan is to work the lower branches as they stretch into fill the corners as well as bringing secondary growth back thru to properly fill the canopy, while spreading out the tops to grow around the outside. Its an approach I’ve used before that is pretty intuitive once you have the plants oriented and start the training early.

    Flipped to Flower Day 37-1
  • Well it’s time flipped her to 12/12 yesterday after little defoliation going leave her be for awhile now just adjust feed and lighting as needed

    Day39
  • These girls are going into flower and the stretch has begun. The canopy should be full in about a week amd then i will let them grow upwards! They were fed with 50% FoxFarm soil trio transition schedule with a little pk boost from BudExplosion at 1/8tsp per gallon and Sea-K at 1/8tsp per gallon. Just trying to stay on top of training and constant defol (few leaves per day) to keep light penetration even and air flow good.

    Day48 wk3 day19 flower
  • Look at all those tops, pop-pop-poppity-popping!!! I count around 50 or so tops! I Cleaned up beneath the canopy and gave them their first feeding of plain water since they were babes ph’d to 5.9, and they are just chugging along! Green to the tips and shiny leaves! Just trying to stay on top of defoliation for airflow and keeping those bud-sites exposed! Temps are in low 80s and rh is hovering around 50%. Lots of pistils popping! They didnt stretch as much as i thought they would being so much sativa, but they stretched enough to fill out the canopy well and thats all that matters😁❤️🙏🌱
