I just thought about this. I am going to use the MegaCrop 1 part that I have left from before. This stuff goes a long way.

I'm growing mine in the two part cause I have a massive bag I'm trying to use up. I keep thinking about trying new nutes but I have both MC 1 and 2 part that I seem to never get through so yeah it does go a long ways :pass:

Germination
So here we go!!! I got these started last night, i dropped two beans in plain distilled water for 4hrs and planted them straight into Root Riot Plugs inoculated with Great White. They are currently on the floor in my auto tent at a comfortable 81 degrees and chilling in an led lit humidity dome. I split the plugs down the side so i can check on the beans without disrupting the taproot, if things are taking long.

That's awesome. I do my seedlings exactly the same way. I also use a dome and great white and plugs. I mean it's literally identical to yours. :toke: :d5::headbang:

I do seeds either like this or i use the paper towel method, but i feel like the root riot plugs give faster results and the seedlings take off better. I get great tesults either way, but the plugs seem to give the seeds a better start, maybe its from not being moved around so much, i dont know. Thats awesome tho! I have found that Root Riot plugs work best for me, ive had bags of rapid rooters come infested with root aphids so i stick to root riot, they seem to have the best quailty control.

We got life on one she popped up yesterday thought the other would be up this morning but not yet. Pretty sure I see movement below the soil so hopefully she be up this afternoon :headbang:

Yeah I do the paper towel also. So it's maybe not identical. I soak in a shot glass for 18 hours. Then I put in moist paper towel between 2 glass plates in a sandwich bag. Then once a Taproot is about an inch I put into the root riot plugs in a seedling tray with a dome. Then once the roots are showing at the bottom of the root riot I transplant into it's final home a 1 gallon plastic grow bag.

I may try just putting it into the root riot without the paper towel. Looking at it in writing it seems like I may be doing 1 too many steps. But I have had almost 100% germination rate doing all the steps I listed below. And I am a strong believer in if it ain't broke don't fix it. :deadhorse:

If im using plugs i soak for 4hrs and go straight to the plug with great white, i split the plugs down the side so i can check on em if i have to. If paper towels it’s usually straight in the aper towel with a pinch of great white and when they get a tap straight to soil. I try to eliminate as many steps as possible so mistakes are fewer if made lol.
