Do you think it would be ok to veg the LZ on 20/4?

I’ve heard that running 18/6 can push hermies out and the plants will eventually sex under 18/6 when they are mature enough not sure if this is the same under 20/4. Like bill said as long as they are getting the right dli that’s all that really matters. I’m running 24/0 right now for the first fews days then I’ll switch to 18/6 when I transplant in a couple days

Yeah, I do run my seedlings 24/0 for a while also.

Ive vegged plenty of photoperiods under 24hrs no problem. Itll likely be for no more than 5-6wks and itll get plenty of rest when you flip to 12/12

Both seeds came shooting up like rockets!!! They were both potted in 5gal fabric pots with Fox Farm Happy Frog with about 20% Perlite added in, inoculated with Great White. They will live under a Spider Farmer G3000 300w Led currently for 24/0 after their first week will mive to 20/4 until flip. They are currently about 24” away from the light and the light is at 40%. Exhaust duty is left to the Spider Farmer 4”inline with carbon filter, they currently have one 6” fan for air circulation. Cant wait to see the em take off!!!

I don't see how it would hurt. I'd really only do it if I didn't have a really good light and needed the extra exposure to meet the Appropriate DLI.
Really, just make sure you give them the appropriate DLI.
If you can meet the appropriate DLI at the lesser lighting schedule, Then the longer one is just going to be more expensive and not needed.
Now you can run them at that level and observe them toward the end of the cycle. If they begin to droop like they're going to sleep, anything past that, may not correlate over at the same rate of growth.

The reason I asked is because I only have one tent with a light in it. And I have some autos that are finishing up within the next few weeks. I was thinking about vegging the LZ inside the same tent. And I want to get them started ASAP.

Same here! Seeds arrived today and one is soakin already.

The packaging is interesting. The box just shields the big Tic Tac case and the seeds were loose rattling around in there. Looks like enough space for a couple hundred seeds.
