No I have an other of these and the IR has a red that is most likely added so you can see it is working as does the UV which is a faint blue. Also all the other diodes pull 3.0V and the bad one has only a 1.6V reading.

Look at that, InHumboldt with a multimeter checking out the forward voltage on his diodes like a champion. ;) Tell it, son!

My new panels were shipped on Friday!!!

Going to finish this grow of 11 plants and take some time off during the summer
as the honey do list gets longer and longer!!

The next grow will be 100% using the new LED panels from China!
Once they arrive I will do an unboxing review and show pics of the internals.

:peace:

Lazy's gunna show off his led pron. Use my led review as a test bed. Its got everything you don't want. Its not modular, the heat sink consists of a single sheet of aluminum, no fins with three 12vdc fans pointed at it, primary optics at 120 degrees, no secondary, three primary spectral profiles at blue 450-500, orange 580-600, and red 630-660nm. 50 3w led's on two 25 diode printed circuit boards, silicon, not metal core (worse for heat transfer). And the wiring sucks balls. Its got wire nuts and tape instead of solder in most cases, and I posted pics.

Its not what you think - I just wanted one to pick apart and see what's wrong with buying cheap - it was $175 on amazon and I'm pretty sure it was made by a factory that makes car lights and lights for aquariums. Either way it looks like someone looked at specs of a good light, reprinted the designs in crayon and photocopied it into oblivion before passing it over to the engineer to have a thousand terrible units made.

Hi All, Heres one for ya, what type of thermal grease is used on these chinese imports? cheap nasty stuff? or Silver based ie Artic Silver?
Also what is the Best thermal paste you can use (not Thermal Glue).
I personally use Artic Silver for my PC's and it works great, have tried it on LED's aswell and it works really well but was just wondering if there was a proper led heat transfer paste available better then Artic?
Cheers.

Heat management is an important issue, but maybe outside the parameters of this thread. I'll say, however, most jobs will only have thermal tape - its a two sided adhesive strip thats thermally conductive. Proper thermal grease is rare, but more efficient and I'm sure most companies buy in huge quantities with the compound changing as science and industry progress. However modern heat management systems include vapor pads like you'll find in Kessil LED's and liquid cooling although at this time the latter is currently limited to modern personal computers. Grease is just one option out there buddy.

Cool, cheers mate,
Just to add that Bubble-Gel Cooling is really good, ive had it on my main pc for the last two years now and its better then liquid, safer (figures) and more reliable. AKASA do them, anyhooooo,
It would be amazing to see this sort of tech on LED's in the future tho.
I'll just stick with my artic paste for when i change modules etc.. to be on the safe side.
Cheers again dude.

I have a small tent 3x2 for 1 maybe 2 auto's in future at most and hps is hot in that small space. I have my eye on these led from china.
If anyone can take a look would be great! I do not need top tier and cannot afford top tier led's, But this looks like a decent light and price is what I can do.
thanks for the time!

Where are you mate? UK or US? Im guessing the US as its a US Ebay listing, my bad..soz....its late...another cuppa is called for.
Well, ill be honest, that light looks pretty much the same as thousands of others, personally i bought a UK based LED suppliers light and so far have had brilliant results, but will be testing more in the future as the industry gets bigger over here, eventually.
The modular range is also better as parts are easier to change/upgrade and the drivers are better. Again, id love to test all led's lol, but then again, who wouldnt, What a job Tho, one can only dreammmmm.
