Im on week day 41 of flowering on a photo grow and still having mass problems with def's. Leaves all going brown and dropping off. I've used cal/mag, P2o5, now I'm dropping my ph to 5 to see if that helps out any. I have been struggling with this problem now for 18 months and it's doing my head in. Outside I can't go wrong, my plants are hitting 6' and still have another 3 months to go until cropping, inside under LED's they grow well up until flowering then problems start.

What brand calmag additive are using?

From what I have been reading I thought I might have been lacking in phosfor P so thought I would give that a try. No joy. Running a 900w and 4 x 150w UFO. 8'x10'7' space.

Start a thread in the Infirmary and we'll address your specific issues there, rather than in this thread. Include some pictures taken in natural light so we can see the true color of the leaves. Also include the pH readings of your feeds and of your run off, what you are feeding them and how often you are feeding.

I was just curious because that is a hell of a risk adding p2o5 other than as part of a tested nute solution that counterbalances the dehydration effect.

Anyways, over to Muddy and the other experts, good luck bro!

I used powdered dolomite lime to combat calmag def and it worked very well.

I think i used 2 tbsp per litre of soil, not packed soil but loose. Mixed it in, watered it until runoff then let it sit for a week.

Professional gardeners recommend letting it sit for up to a month to integrate properly but a week was fine for me in 3L airpots.

All the best,

steely

ALWAYS have CALMAG def in mid flower. Just started now on my Bubba autos. Im using about 30 MLS per 5 gallon bucket of water (when i top off my res in DWC) and still have problems AND i use Botanicaire Kind which the Base has 5% Cal in it as well! Should i be using more calmag? Or do i risk over doing it by adding more??

Yea I've been using dolomite lime in the soil for the last few grows as well and it really helps with cal/mg in addition to it's PH balancing. This is my first LED grow (from CFL) and so far at 18 days in everything is looking great for me. I'm also using the reflector series LED from Mars Hydro, so it has a BLOOM switch which is currently turned off (less red light until flowering).
