The only thing that im a little concerned about is what happened when my buddy topped off the pots. Instead of using the rest of the biobizz light mix he used greenlite by roots. This has some nutes in it and i hope it doesn't burn the initial roots. He put about an inch on top of the biobizz. I scraped a hole and pulled up a handful of the biobizz where i planted. Its a noob thing since our first run was tooooo smooth! Also, my buddy is OVER 75 years old, glaucoma and a tumor in the brain but he can smoke reefer like a chimney. Lol, but he does a great job tending to the girls. Funny thing, he almost forgot where he put this batch of seeds we planted. He is why i got us into growing instead of him just buying.
do you know that biobizz is made with mineral salts? I'm not a fan of that style brand. but i would assume any burns aren't from it being to strong its generally salts and PH that cause a lot of the burns you see in plants.

6.5 is in the middle of the suggested range.. It is what I would do
do monitor your run off PH ranges thats not what hot soils are designed for and theres zero point to it.. your realistically overwatering if your drenching the soil to the point excess is running out. the media is going to absorb the water. You want to have the medium moist then properly go dry between waterings.. keeping the soil wet or even getting it too wet when the plants are young will only slow your growth. Overwatering your pot does nothing in anyway for your plant. Your plant can't drink a gallon of water, so wheres the water going? its staying stagnate till it evaporates into your air creating a higher humidity in the room, which is pointless and will create more of a headache. when the soils are too moist the roots have no need to grow and expand. Roots naturally spread and seek for and water. if they have no need to continually spread and seek water because the mediums so moist the plants will never properly expand their roots. if your monitoring your run off your going to sit and try to adjust due to run of your going to go crazy. thats soley for chemical growing.. when running organics your run off in the beginning can be picking up more water soluble materials creating a different PH reading. All grow medias even ours is ph adjusted, as long as your water isn't in the High PH range your not going to experience issues. If your water PH level is high then yes you can and generally will experience issues. In those cases we recommend using earth juice crystals. do not use phosphoric acid with the soil and plain water if you need to PH adjust you will have issues.

jst to be clear once established i do recommend watering obviously to the point to getting the medium good and moist i also get run off sometimes when i add too much water but generally when I'm watering adults the first sign of water coming out i stop. one tip with watering is don't dump water on the plant.. i personally use a big garden sprayer (just cause i have a lot of watering) and lightly hit my plants over and over giving the water time to travel and soak in.

How does the soil work with a wick system? I'm moving to water only and I bottom feed my ladies by maintaining a perlite reservoir below. I've got a few soil mixes I'm trying, along with a super soil cooking, would love to try kind alongside them.
