I am thinking that having two 3 gallon jugs and running a bubbler in one for a few days should get everything but a carbon filter at the tap sounds easier honestly

Can i mix distilled with bubbled tap? Our local water is supposed to be pretty good. I have been doing that with our first grow.
you can but theres really no point to that. one your wasting time and water making the RO just to "dilute" tap... two your just at most diluting chemicals already in the water. unless you have really bad tap water that would be going a tad to far. if your that worried about the tap water its very simple to disable your RO filter and run pre.. carbon.. post.. that way you don't have to worry about oxygenating tap water or making RO water.

I dont filter our tap, unless ro means regular old and not reverse osmosis. Our local water is artesian wells, some of the best in the country. Its ph is 7.5, distilled is about six so i mixed hopefully to lower ph. I am a rookie and clueless so i welcome all advice! Also, i have a water report from the local utility. Its a 3 mb pdf file. I would be happy to share it

lol ... regular old.. :)

7.5 is generally not a issue for soils but again it really can all depend. i wouldn't go the route of mixing the water if your getting well water thats top notch IMOP theres nothing better for your plants just clearly pull it before any softeners if you use them.

Should you notice theres PH issues..you can adjust the waters PH..i generally recommend ph adjusting the water when people get into the 7.7 range because its really hard for soils to buffer alkaline Vs. Acidic. too alkaline over a long period can and will cause issues.. but same for too acidic. which is why i recommend a neutral range. the soils generally are always in a safe uptake range for your plants so the real only worry is.. is my water way to alkaline or acidic.

i say that then i think there was a really good gorilla grow article high times did years ago where a reporter followed a cartel grow op.. find the article cause I'm about to really chop it into pieces to get my point across... basically they were growing in crap soil and watering waste rain/ravine water or something not clean at all...urinating near the plants.. etc.. the soils chemistry was so off the reporter stated there was crystalline formations occurring on top of the soil yet the cannabis was growing fairly normal.. so why is it? well over time the crops had grown accustomed to the environment they were being grown in and adjusted enough to live in the harsher soils over such a long period of time. Or so the reporter was assuming .. but it made sense.. so everything works both ways. the soils work for your plants but the plants also in some very slight ways work to adjust with the soils..

that was really off topic and really had nothing to do with this but i thought it was a good article people should look up. :)

Thanks for all the info sir .. Great info on water I for one will use you advice.. I tried in the past to use a ph up liquid called wonderful and well I had some issues.. I fixed them but boy did it give me issues

yep absolutely.. there are some out there that are much different % ...like i said i don't know the chemistry behind it..all i know is that RO water and liquid acids give us the biggest issues.. next is liquid acids in general and the last major issue we get is people using plain tap water with really high PH levels. all those create issues when running water only systems.

all liquid acid percentages very
botanicare 29% phosphoric acid
advanced is like 80% phosphoric acid
general hydro i can't remember the percent.. its low but if i remember it also had citric acid in it... i believe its one of the better ones to use with plain water because its so weak its easier to adjust by .2-.3 but even that acid over time has given hot soil growers issues .. so we recommend the earth juice/citric acid over everything else when running the soil.

Update! May 12 at 707pm cst, two beans were dropped into their pots. Both soaked in distilled water for about 30 hours, shells were cracked and taps ready to jump. I put directly into the dirt just like my first grow. No paper towels in nature so i did what i am familiar with.
