Hello AFN, we have a awesome Test Team put together, to give Platinum LED a great test run and see If their lights can produce some excellent Canna! All testers will give a brief introduction, then we will get down to business and grow some canna!

Hello, I am briman.
I have been at AFN since 2012 and simply love this site over the many canna sites on the web. I have grown photo period plants for over 30 years and started on autos in 2012. I found there is a place for both photos and autos in my grow tents and love the variety. I use canna for medical and pleasure. I got into the autos for a quick way to provide my uncle medicine for his Parkinson's Disease, as photos took a bit too long. I like big pots, big genetics and am setting up a Autopot 2XL system soon in a 4 x 4 tent. I will be running this Platinum LED test in a 2 x 2 tent, in a 3 gallon air pot with Kindsoil and cant wait to see how this light measures up. I currently use California Lightworks Led's and am real excited to see the Platinum LED light perform!

What's up AFN.... A-Train checking into the test threads.

As you all can see I'm a relatively new guy when it comes to the staff members here on AFN. Started my first grow with AFN and learned everything i know from the outstanding members here and the staff that limped me along in the beginning.

Been growing cannabis about a year and a half now. I started my venture into this outstanding hobby for my wife, she has a few injury disibilities now and was on several prescriptions from the docs that totally changed her and checked her out of reality at times. I smoked a large portion of my life and knew with all the recent research it could be a help for her and hopefully get rid of the nasty prescriptions so a little while later here we are. She is down to only 1 med from them and the rest all comes from me at a much lower cosy tham our local dispencary lol......

I grow in a 3x3x5 tent currently with a competitor brand LED but I am def looking foward to see what these hi powered platinums are all about. I'll be putting 2 platinum p300 series in the 3x3 and filling the tent with Magic Strain autoflowers. Most of my plants go in 5 gallon smart pots and are fed Advanced Nutrients. Hoping to pack this thing to the gills with buds...... happy growing AFN

Hey everyone SoH here!

I'll be testing a P450 unit in a 3 x 2 foot x 5 foot tent to start off with; if the unit proves too much for the tent it will be moved to a 4 x 4 x 7 tent instead.

I've been with the site since 2012, started off as a lurker, then began posting guides and helping out newbies where I could like the friendly hands extended to me were when I first joined, then began a journey with the High Team, to Moderator, Global Mod, and now Site Admin. I'm very excited and proud to see the site where it is today and I hope that we can continue to be fair, non-biased source of information for new and experience growers alike! We're "proof is in the pudding" kind of people, so stay tuned and watch us make pudding and let's see how it turns out!

I run pure coco-coir as my substrate and will be using Grow More Sea Grow 16-16-16 and 4-24-24, along with Botanicare CalMag, General Hydroponic Silica, and the occasional smattering of Recharge myco.

Beans are to be decided; have a lot of regs so like will multi-pot to find my females. Likely will be using either 3 or 5 gallon smart pots (fabric.)

Grow journal coming soon with more final details, stay tuned folks!

Unit arrived on Saturday (VERY fast shipping,) have a ton of pictures of it from the outside of the box to the inside! Excited to showcase this, thanks again to Mark and Tom for the opportunity to test their lights! Here's to hopefully growing some good ganja folks!

Greetings everyone.I will also be testing the Platinum p300.I've been growing autos mostly for about four years now and I still learn new things every day.I started out growing photos with a homemade cfl rig and had some fairly good grows and now I have a four foot t5 ho eight bulb light plus five LED'S I bought at different times.I have the P300 hanging over a Mephisto Fantasmo that I had started earlier and I can already see a difference in growth from my cheaper 300watt panel.I will do a complete grow with the P300 but I have to wait until my current grow is finnished so until then make sure to keep an eye out for other testers to start.

Howdy AFN, :shooty:

Let me start by saying its an honor to be given the chance to test out one of these P300 series lights. I have been a HID guy for years, i have ran just about every type of light you could grow with. Everything from standard CFL twist bulbs, T5 HO arrays, Metal Halide, and HPS. I have been a member here, well since its conception. Starting off as one of the sites original founders and Admin. So by now most of you know me and have seen my grows. I tend to grow in soil and perlite mixes and typically run FoxFarm as my main source of ferts. I pretty much grow anything that has a seed and can be grown in a pot. If it likes light and great environment i can usually grow it out to its potential.

This is my first attempt at using a LED panel as a light source, i have not had the pleasure until now to use one as I mentioned above i have always had other sources of light. So this will not only be a test run for Platinum it will also be a test run for me. I like to look at it like this, there are people out there that are still deciding on what light they want for their garden, and then there are seasoned growers that are looking for something new and innovative to add to their garden. May it be for efficiency, adapting to the ever changing grow market, or like me something to optimize their current setup. This is something that i am looking to do, stay on the edge of technology and give my plants usable, efficient light. So my plan and goal here is to not only learn but to share and educate what these lights can do. Show the raw power of something that someone has put time and money in, and show true honest non-biased results. Once again bring AFN the knowledge and how-to on a good product, and give Platinum the feedback that they deserve for their hard work.

The setup will be a 3x3x3 tent at first, i want to truly harness the power of this light. The first plants under the array will be a heirloom chili plant that i have been working on. The reason for this at first is to give myself and AFN a teaching lesson. As i mentioned above i have not used LED in a grow and i need to understand the light, get to know its spacing and its power. I want to give them a shot on something that can take a bit of punishment. This will also give me raw data on where it needs to be and how to set the environment for my favorite plant to grow. I always believe that its important to dial in a room when new gear is introduced and the peppers will be my choice to do this first. Then the white jem and black dragons will get their chance after these guys. I know that its not as exciting as ganja but the time will come with them once i get my room dialed.

Stay tuned AFN as i bring the best info on this light as i can, and thanks to Mark and his crew for making all this happen.

Hello AFN'ers. :toke:

I'm Bromeo. 1st a huge Thank You to Platinum LED for this opportunity. This has to be the coolest thing to be a part of like ever.

I'm using a 3x3x7 tent for this grow. I'm going to be using straight Cyco coco. One or two gallon square plastic pots. I'll be using Humboldt County's Own nutrient system.

As for strains I think in going to go with Sweet Seeds Killer Kush and Fastbuds Pineapple Express. I'm also thinking about starting my first photo clone under that P300 as well.

I hope y'all enjoy the grow.

Peace
Bromeo
