Outdoor Jelly0's backyard [FastBuds - Mephisto - Dutch Passion]

Thanks for the info gents, you guys were right. I had a problem with damping off on my first seed I probably should have tossed the soil not replanted in it. I'll have to give up on MA for now which is a shame since I love pure sativas.

Day 21:

It's been three weeks, let's see how they look! Both were given rhizotonic/azos/mykos/calimagic today, 500mls each. It is 104°F out here today! I could barely stay out there to take pics lol but these plants seem to be doing fine in this heat.

Bubbly:

She's very big nothing but pleased so far. I can't tell how many main colas I've made yet, I'll know for sure soon.

Got some guardians though

Lime:

They have developed into two main stems, let's see if she can catch up to her sister. She'd probably be a little taller if I didn't mess up on the topping.

Bubbly is almost double in height, pretty impressive!

I am very excited to hear what you think of the toke on Daiquiri CBD....if our midsummer humidity was more reasonable i would have one of those growing(instead i went with DP Aww cbd)!! I grew a Daiquiri last summer and it did very well, though i lost a bunch from mold, i still got a solid harvest of 165grams and the toke was stellar.
Good luck bud!! Still not too late to join the outdoor contest!

Nice dude I'm thinking the daquiri is gonna steal the show any day now I'm having some problems with the bubbly as you'll see below. Still not sure if either are worthy of a contest lol

Day 24:

Bubbly:

I don't think she took to the fim but I think it messed with her some way.

Very early sign of preflowers

Here's where it gets interesting the place where female parts are supposed show up budsites are showing up instead

Which I initially thought was cool but I think I'm seeing some male parts. I took a big one off yesterday.

She is an Indica dominant plant and it was hitting the 100s for a few days, definitely can be stressful for a plant. I have to keep my eye on her.

Lime:

She's looking good she has regular lady parts everything is looking normal no hermies here she is a sativa plant so she can definitely take the heat better than her sister.

Day 30:

Things are okay I wish these plants are bigger but I'm happy they're surviving in this heat!

Bubbly:

Plucked a lot of male parts so far. I'm doing my best to get her to harvest I don't wanna kill her off yet! Looks like she's about to go on full flower mode soon but I hope she still has some vertical growth left in her.

Lime:

Very tiny, but I learned my lesson: I topped her at the third node which I now realize was too early. I'll top above the third node from now on.

Was thinkin, I fashioned a shade out of a couple of tomato cages and an old sheet to protect mine from direct sun when they were sprouts, something like that might help the indica Dom on hot days. Worked out great... except for a little one that was too close to the edge.
You've given me one more reason to hold off topping... think I'll wait till I come inside and have more than 2 going.

They all look great, other the size, very healthy lookin.

She was barely at her third node at three weeks, so I think I did it too early. I also cut off a part of the leaf to the right of the stem which definitely stressed her out. After learning from my mistakes I just topped my indoor plants and they're doing great! I'll have to look into that idea with the shade since we're both Cali growers so we're dealing with the same temps.

I literally stapled 1 side of the sheet to the fence, and wrapped a pole in the other end for weight... and tossed it over the cages. Cheep, simple...

They're big enough to do without it now, but have just let it sit against the fence just in case we get another week of 110* temps... come on fall! Love the outdoor thing, but wanna get back to indoor, and I need the outdoor to fund the indoor setup.

Day 33:

This heat wave is intense... triple digits here in the valley I'm thinking the plants are heat stressed which is why they're so small with tight internodes. They're still chugging along though so I'll be happy with any yields. Getting around 400-500mls a day.

Bubbly:

Not seeing any more balls, now I'll just keep an eye out for bananas during flowering.

Looking very good in my eyes, jelly

Autos can handle high temps i learned, i don't think it's heat stress that causes the internodes, they just have enough sun impact and they like it!
