New Grower It's about time..Dutch Passion and ChilLED grow light

Sorry to hear about the attrition of forces, Nosias! The yellow leaves do make it look like the same sort of pH/coco buffering issues I had on my first attempt. Careful pH control and buffering with cal-mag fixed it for me. I'm sure you'll get it sorted and the remaining girls will reward you for it! I'm using my syringes all the time for measuring and I really recommend getting a decent ph meter. I can't imagine doing hydroponics without that tool, now that I own one.

Bummer about the overcast conditions at the eclipse too! It was only a partial eclipse here but it looked cool for a few minutes before the clouds rolled in. Talk about stoned stoners, here's a photo I took with the protective film the wrong way by accident!

a stoned stoner in the garden is a liability.took me a long time to figure that out,and ive been putting off doing something about it ever since.
:pighug:

Haha Archie, I got that task on the checklist myself, but it's right under "smoke bowl" so I never seem to get to it.

sorry to hear of the cannacide mate. im sure your dps will be just fine. like the name too lol. i never phd my coco nutes years ago and done pretty well. didnt know what ph was or have internet. that was the canna coco range and i put my success entirely down to them. see loads of people that dont ph and do really well. i know nothing about solids growing though. purely a hydro head.

Some lessons are hard to learn. Sometimes we are just to dump to listen.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts :pass:

I am afraid to leave my girls more than a day or two; just too many things can go wrong. Vinegar - really! You just lost $40 of seeds PH down is not expensive.
Yes vinegar. it is cheap and effective.

Nice pic :)
Only the one plant has them. I am using the Cal/mg and I bought the same blue lab duo you have. But Hans does not PH test after the first buffering. So I will see how it goes his way.

As I think I really messed up the first PH and cal /mag. So steady as I go.:baked:

Long time ago I only used the clay pellets in a straight Hydro. I had 2 gal buckets sitting on 2 x6 on their sides. Covered it with plastic and poked holes on the buckets.I added Miracle grow and PH it to 6.0. I did want to go with that hydro again. Then I saw the AutoPots and hoped it would be better. The old pellets were fool proof and easy to set up and run. I just had a 10 gallons as a reserve in some plastic and a water pump. Watered them 5 times a day for 15 minutes. The temp was 95-100 degree outside and the same inside a big elevated shed. I cut holes in the wooden floor and had a big box fan at the top to kick out the hot air. Never had any problems.
