New Grower It's about time..Dutch Passion and ChilLED grow light

@Mañ'O'Green Is there anything else you would like to know?
Yes which lights did you get, commercial or DIY? How many watts total and space size? Did you get the controller so you can adjust the spectrum?

It is so hot here I cannot run CO2 in the summer because the exhaust fans need to run 24/7 to keep the space temperature under control.

I got the commercial 440 watt. At the wall it pulls 411 watts. I have a 5x 5x 7 tent.
Weight 40 lbs
Dimensions 31 x 28.5 x 10 in

I got the option for some on board buttons, i.e Veg, 50% power, white light only, fans. I did order the controller. At this time the firm ware is complete but additional testing is taking place 24 hours a day. I have been informed that they mays ship within 10-15 days. ChilLED is doing this the correct way (8-9-2017) I believe I will be breaking Site rules if I post a link to them. But I an sure you can find it for ChilLED. I am so UP for this light I have been running for 5 days with no plants. I am using it to dry out the coco. It has been rainy here for 5 days so I must use the light. My friend @SPZ lost a new start due to too much moisture in the coco which was caused by rinsing it out.

Thanks for following.

Thanks for following and most info is now in my opening line.

I sure did lose a crop. Too much moisture at the very beginning played a big role. I've been reading more and I think I also had some problems because of the chemistry. It is really important that you "pre-charge" the coco. The first watering use water that is ph'd down to 5.8 and mixed with at least 1ml/l cal-mag, and keep the cal-mag going throughout. This helps to neutralize the salts that are bonded to the coco, especially if you are using unbuffered coco. I actually bought premium buffered coco and restarted my grow with more attention to the pH and calmag and I'm having better results.

Nosias, that light is the shit, can't wait to see how your girls do under it. I just turned on the last two cobs so I'm operating at 100% power myself now! I'm still at 30", I'm going to see how the girls take it and start moving the lights closer slowly.

This AM (Aug 8, 2017) I planted all 6 seeds. The Northern lights by Royal Queen showed me good tail yesterday evening ( 8-7-2017) as well as the Dutch Passion BBK and Co Cookies. I feel they have all meet my hopes.

I would like to show you where I am growing and all of the set up. The room is in the basement in the utility room. It is 8' x 18'. The tent is 5x5 so I have "some" room on the two sides.I have put the filter and fan inside the tent. Also a 6" black fan for interior circulation. The filter fan is ducted all the way to an outside THE ROOM vent. So I draw in fresh air form the entire basement from a lower vent into the room. I can also open large basement windows if I want to get in fresh air. There are two 8" ducting vents "holes" in the tent, one on each side on the bottom and across from each other. I will use both to draw in the air. I plan to leave the door to this room open, most of the time. It can be locked.

The temps and RH are good. 77-70 F and 45 - 52% RH.

The water I added last night to each Autopot was 58% PH, plus 1ML Cal Mag, 2ML of the Voodoo Juice. I am hanging the ChilLED at 42" from the top of the larger pots. Some will say six plants are too many and I agree. I see too many here have a bad seed or a real disaster with a few beans. So this is my way to be ready and run with the wild ones. I will cull the herd when needed.
I am using 6 Auto pots. 2 will be 2.2 gallon and 4 will be 3.9 gal. The Dutch Passion seeds, 2 ea. Blackberry Kush, Colorado Cookies, will be split between a 2.2 and a 3.9 AutoPots. The 2 Royal Queen Northern lights will be in 3.9 pots.

I will be getting a controller for the light but it is still being finalized. The controller will allow a hell of a lot of tweaking. It will be fun and scary.

The ChilLED light has manual controls that I ordered with the light. Here are my settings as of now.

Fans are off. It is set to VEG mood. It is at 50% power, Full Spectrum and of course it is turn on.

As there is no past user input on this ChilLED light I will be doing what I think is best. OH Shit !!!

That is a great grow space. If your water heater is burning properly you could bypass some of the CO2 exhaust to your tent. You should install a carbon monoxide detector in the basement if you do something like that.

And of course I am envious of that light!:tonic:

Love those lights.

The grow room was a HUGH factor before we bought a home. It does seem to be designed for me  and the tent fits so good and I can lock the door. Which I must be able to do to be in compliance with state laws.

Thanks for the suggestion on the hot water heater, as it is gas, but I KNOW NOTHING about DYI. I would flood the whole house with deadly gas and I would not like that. So I need to "Just Say NO." :doc1:

And I love yours too. One day soon a newer tech will come along. As I said before, we both have the lights to take us to the happy growing lands of the future. :superhero:

:biggrin:Today is 8-11-2017. I have 3 ladies who have broken through to the lights. The other are very close to singing in the sunshine.

On a couple of seeds I may have planted them a bit shallow in the coco, just my gut feeling. The coco is drying out on the surface as it should. I am resisting the URGE to water them a bit more. But I keep telling myself not to worry and be happy. I know I must follow the plan, so I will think thoughts of 7 oz flowers.

Just in case I raised the light to 58" from the top of the coco. I turned off the fan for a few days and it is still off. The temps went to 75F and the RH was at 55% this AM. So I think the higher temps with higher RH is good. Tho the coco is drying out.....think 7oz plants, think 7 oz plants........ Ok I am better.

I have dropped another seed. Just one, just in case, error on the side of caution and don't be rash....... 7 oz

It is an Ultimate. I know they can get huge but I feel some will not make it. Oh the panic, fear of failure. I laugh at myself to having these fears. Never thought I would. Yet they lay in wait and nag me some of the time.

So not much more to say. I'll keep this current.
Thanks for dropping in.

PS I can not get over how SMALL they look. 7 oz 7 oz:woohoo1:
