Indoor Iriee Vibez grows Blue Toof & DP Lemon Zkittle outdoors

Day 7

Plants have started to take off since the roots hit the water. A lot of growth each day. It is HOT though. Clearly they don't love the heat, but seem to be adapting. They will need to continue that trend cause it won't get any cooler through this grow. I am not expecting much, but love the challenge of trying to get them through the summer heat.

A little ahead since she hit the water first.

My soil grow is looking good too. These lemon Zkittles photos will be transplanted outside in a week or so. Good luck to them with the summer heat!

Great job man. You are so much more equipped both mentally and technically for the challenge.

Outside use shading the plants as your friend to combat the heat. The direct rays where you are are not necessary for these plants. Use your lux meter app to check the lux outside, that way you can see how much shade to give them, while they still can get enough light. The sun can't be raised or lowered, meaning those suckers get the full blast as soon as they are outside. That is like giving seedlings 10,000 lux on our app or more, you wild fry them. Use the same lux schedule I gave you before. Maybe add a little because they are photos and can handle more. If you use tha knowledge and then figure out a way so they don't dry out and the roots stay cool enough in the ground or a cooled pot of some kind, these plants can still thrive. I have seen it done in dry desert conditions that ran over a hundred degrees, but with shade, an automatic drip system, and a cheap misting machine, he got these awesome plants. Basically grown under a thin white tarp the entire time too...

Thanks Med! Great advice on the shading. Will definitely try to do that! Keeping my fingers crossed. I am away from the plants this week, so can’t really update on the progress.

Hey Auto! I travel a bit for work, so it’s familiar territory. At this stage, they hardly drink water so a week is no problem. Later on, I turn on my backup reservoir to keep the water at the right level. Plus, I have my handy WiFi cam to get my fix. I have it positioned to show the vitals in the reservoir at all times, so I know if there is an issue.

The WiFi cam only was. I have a $6 thermometer and hygrometer next to it, but it is lights off in the pic so you can’t see it. I used that only for the longest, since I knew the cabinet temp and humidity and therefore the VPD through the WiFi feed.

I added the Bluelab guardian later to tell me what was happening in the reservoir. That is the pricey gadget.
