Yea I figured between the peat moss having no nutrients really and the cow crap having the nitrogen . I basically went close to 50 50 on the mix so there wouldn't be a lot of nitrogen left at the end . I use house and garden aqua flakes with the nutes also with the watering . Man I haven't had a problem at all. They suck down alot of water every two days now since going to 12 12 not watering every dayIts one of the secrets in growing monsters....shallow super wide rootbase means lots of root expansion through a whack of easily digested nutrients(each plant gets 2 wheelbarrows of horse manure to eat for 3 months until flower starts). The shallower the root base, means the roots can expand much quicker than they can vertically through increasingly denser soil(denser the deeper you go from the weight compacting)
I used to grow with solely manure and lime and did well, but i found there was too much nitrogen in the end if you gave them the amount they would need to properly supply flowering demands(and as a result they tended to be leafy). When i switched it up and used horse manure for veg and flowering nutes for flower, thats when yield really went up.
