Ok, ya'll. I was blessed with some MI5 & Onyx seeds for my first auto grow.

Heres the set-up:

20 Onyx seeds.
20 MI5 Seeds.

Pro Mix BX, 3 gallon pots. Amended with garden sulfur.

General Hydroponics; Maxi-Gro, Bloom & Kool-Bloom & Cali/Magik.

Veg Room- (5x3x8')
600 watt Hortilux MH in 6" Cool Tube.

Flower Room- (7x7x8')
1000 watt Hortilux HPS in 6" Cool Tube.

6" inline fan with carbon filter in Flower room. 700cfm.

Let me first say that Muddy helped me piece this set up together. I had the specs and plans pretty air tight, but he gave some needed advice. Told me I needed a bigger fan and suggested the Panda Film. Wish I heeded his advice on my meters...went cheap and think it cost me in sweat equity. LOL.

I split a spare room into 3 chambers using Panda Film. I used 3x3 to frame the rooms and simply stapled and duct taped the film to keep it in place. Surprisingly, both rooms are completely light tight, yet air flow isn't restricted.

I threw all 40 auto seeds in some peat cups with 10 of my my photo strains. I had 37 out of 40 pop. 9 out of my 10 photos popped as well.

After they popped, I transferred the autos into Solo cups, then threw them right into flower. I wanted to see these work-horses get right to it! My 3 gallon pots were on order at this point.

After about a week they were looking like this...

At about two weeks they all showed sex, I culled the males...

Very nice setup, great strains to work with as well. Are you new to growing or just new to autos? If you would like I could move your thread over to the New Growers forum. Either way I'll be following along. Green karma sent! :wiz:

Awesome sauce man! Do you just cut each individual cup out to transplant?

Looking good Ichi. Seeing all those plants lined up in the cups like that gets my loins stirring. :D Can't wait to see the rest of the grow.

Hey Jackal! I have grown a few crops before, with ok results. Nothing to write home about. But I am brand new to autos. Definitely NOT the same as photos I am learning. LOL.

I transplant as normal, though I do see how others do it here and think its really smart! Maybe next time though. I've never had any trouble transplanting before.

Haha, wait until you see all 20 in the 3 gallons. Looks like a jungle!:dance2:

Yeah yeah, not like planting the little plastic cup and all. I assumed you popped em out of their root/dirt ball and all like regular traditional transplant. Just wondering if you just pull them out or what since they are all right beside each other. I start in small cups for veggies and flowers. etc. but they are all individual so I can easily turn them upside down and give them the tap to get em out of there. It seems tricky in those trays.

Edit: Ok I just noticed the tray is actual made from the peat jiffy type stuff and can be planted. Still interested in how you separate and get them out of there.
