New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Thanks Frost! I was in the same position after literally spending many hours on the subject. In the end, since this is my first grow, I decided to see for myself. Will let you know what I think!

different for everyone like environments I suppose, what works for one doesn’t always work for the other...

actually made me look at concentrates more as I see a lot of peeps pressing fresh flowers for rosin and getting a great end product with less of the drying and curing dramas/time limits, even see comments about fresh being better for rosin versus well dried and cured buds...gonna do some more reading before getting kitted out with a press first though!

all the best mate and well done again.

Froot, That's the other topicI have been researching extensively. Really want to stay away from solvents in making concentrates, but really want to be able to make vape oil for a pen. I think my plan as of now is to use my fresh frozen to make dry ice hash, using the lowest micron screen to remove all plant matter. I will then press that with a yet to be purchased rosin press, and then make vape oil from that rosin. From what I have been reading that is worth a try.

Took a couple flash pictures so you can see just how frosty the GG is already. And the aroma is already strong. Smells like a pine forest with a hint of fuel.

The CP’s smell is lot more subtle. Mostly green right now, but there is a small hint of fruit. I think.

I find myself eying my Dutch Passion Auto Night Queen pack. Gonna give my reservoir, chiller, pumps, airstones, probes, all tubes a good disinfectant cleaning today, so everything is ready. As soon as the buds are all in jars, in goes two seeds. The Critical Purple is my pure indica, for end of the day and night time medicating, but I don't know how long it will last. The DP ANQ has consistent genetics and hopefully will finish near the prescribed 75 day timeframe. I think I deserve a shorter second grow! Lol!

Your buds look SUPER fine. I’ve decided on the critical purple for my next go around. I’ll be happy to have half your yield though! Really, those are amazing. Just beautiful. You must be so pleased!

@Froot n Fuel The best rosin on all aspects of flavor and yield have come from properly cured bud @ 62% humidity. Fresh bud makes a very light colored rosin but the water is hard to deal with and the flavors are not fully developed. I have experimented extensively with strains and many variables. If you are handy with tools you can build a good personal 6 ton rosin press for under $200. I have the plan and lots of rosin information in my DIY thread. The link is in my signature.

Oh, yeah, I am feeling super pleased, DG! You know when I first started this grow, I wanted monster plants. Three weeks in, I would have settled on an ounce each, it was so bad! So, yeah, I am happy as all get out with this! Want to get the cure right, so the bud can be all it can be! But you better believe that I will be testing throughout the cure, let's call it an experiment! :cheersmate:

Way to go bro, it's all downhill from here...

Sweet looking buds, just like we said. Awesome patience applied my friend!
:bravo:

Thanks Med! I am two weeks away from dropping two AQN seeds! Hopefully, I find that strawberry milkshake pheno you talked about! Can't wait to apply all I have learned without the heat challenges.
