Not sure what your humidity is like, but in Michigan we went from 85F and 80% humidity last Wednesday, to highs in the 50s and 30% humidity this week. I checked the humidity on my J47 before I went to sleep Thursday night and it was 72%, I left it in the paper bag over night and it was 57% the next morning. Fortunately I have plenty of wet weed to re-hydrate it with, but breaking down the whole plant has it's risks as well. I'm going to try dividing the next plants into the paper bags by the size of the buds so I can get the smaller buds in the jars quicker before the dry out too much. This way also if one bag gets too dry I can combine it with another from the same plant that hasn't over-dried.

Thanks for the tip, JB. It's hard for me to tell what the humidity in the cabinet will be when the water filled reservoir is out and lights are off, but I will be monitoring closely. I am trying the paper bag method on some of the GG, so will try to separate by bud size, as you recommended. About to start this exciting phase in a few minutes!

Thanks DG! Yeah, I am super stoked to be getting close to the day when I roll my first homegrown joint! That will be a nice long exhale! It will be the best weed I have smoked, I am sure. GG4 has been a fave of mine for a while, and I should have some for a while!

I know what you mean, DG! I have been looking forward to this part of the process for a long time. Now that it is here, though, it's kind of scary!

I tried to taste last week. I clipped off some bottom bud, but screwed up the micro dry. I should have read more about that. Anyways, I decided to wait until the initial dry to try again.

Working on the GG4 now. Damn this is a big plant. Already three hours in and only half way!
