New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

My light has a butt load of those reds and far reds, but so does yours, I looked it up. Your ratio I see almost 70 /30 in that light, that will work nicely I think. Make sure the ANQ is farthest away from light if you can. The more shade it gets from itself and any other plants, can help activate that genome during its shade stretch response (cool phenomenon where plants that think they are getting shade will stretch automatically and activate certain genome that might not otherwise activate.

Excited that there is a chance I can see this pheno with current equipment. I was thinking of adding another cob for flowering depending on the plants size. The buds on the non cob side of my GG are confirming that for me. As they dry, I can tell which buds were on the cob side versus, the dark side. The cob buds are denser and frostier, imo.

With this second grow, I am aiming to really deliver a top shelf level bud, while getting as much yield as possible. But quality of the bud is the primary goal this time. I want to say this is the amongst best I have smoked.

I knew from the issues you were having and the look of those buds after, they were going to be dank and tasty.:smokeit:

Like I said, many times, when plants struggle at certain points and are stressed, they react with trichomes, resins, and terpenes. All the good stuff. The thing is, each strain is a little different on which way to best stress it to get the results. Unless you have a ton of experience, I can't imagine why you would want to do that on purpose.

Hard enough growing this stuff when you want everything just neutral and normal. That's why what you accomplished was even more impressive.
Nice job again bro!:d5:

I had that Glueberry that got stressed from Dutch Passion and she was the best I ever grew in terms of overall performance with taste and potency. This. Ugh this be one of your best ever for now, but you are going to grow lots more that will blow it away.

Thanks Med! I am counting on evolving with this next grow. I feel like I got what I could with all the heat challenges, and am happy as hell about the outcome. But, there are so many things I could have done differently and better that I almost can't wait for round 2!

Don't think I want to bank on challenges and plant stress producing great results, but instead go down the boring path with ensuring the environment is good, adjusting feed schedule as the plants dictate, and giving them as much light as they can efficiently utilize. i think the weather will cooperate this time!

Yep, no stress grows are really the best. That's what we all want anyway m smoking this crap, less stress! Sometimes, we need to learn life lessons, and through our grows we will always see some adversity from time to time. I would take perfect boring grows every time if it were possible.

Cheers to that, man!

First GG4 buds are in the jar! The buds that started to dry in paper bags were ready to be jarred. I also removed a couple branches that were hung, shaved off the nugs and placed in jars also.

I think I may have let the paper go a day longer than they should have, as the jar measured 55% on the hygrometer. The hung buds measured 56%, but the stem still had a little bend in it. I placed a boveda in jars.

I tested a small bud from each jar in my pipe, and could tell little difference. The jar from the hung buds definitely had a stronger nose, but similar piney-fuel aroma. Slight difference. The buzz was amazing! Taste was as it smelled. The high gave a clearheaded, happy, relaxed feeling that lasted a bit. Definitely a any time of the day strain. This is some really good weed that will only get better. I grew it!

Total in jars so far: 63.7 grams.

Will be jarring up the rest of the hung GG plants on Saturday, and then tackle the dry trimming of the CP, which was whole plant hung for drying.

Round two of the GG4 now in the jar. Weighed out at 70 grams. So total GG dry bud in jar weight is just over 133 grams! 4.7 ounces of premium dank buds. Over 400 grams of small buds and sugar leaves in the freezer.
