New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Hey @pigskin, I just chopped my CP at 15weeks from seed (10wks flowering). She has a really short stretch period (3-4 days) but stacks HUGE across the following 10wks of flowering. I didn't do much training ( ponytail and minor lst to keep the canopy even) but I really wanted to see what she'd do on her own. I ended up with 19 tops each 12-15" long. I'm SO impressed with this strain, no doubt on the next run with more training / scrog she'll be a monster. Good luck finishing her up!!

Hey Jrok, this is a very timely post! I was wondering if this timeframe was normal, and you confirmed it. Tha plant is amazing, man! Nice job. I can't believe it wasn't trained, and turned out like that. How much did she end up producing? Looks like some high quality smoke, man.

Thanks for sharing, man! Inspirational for sure!

Thanks for the kind words! This is my first grow after a decade long hiatus, and first auto ever. When I say 'just chopped ' I mean yesterday/today, so best guess is a couple oz's, but no idea yet. Smells like oranges/citrus and rose petals.

Got it. Jumped the gun a bit! The smell sounds amazing. Was was your temps humidity like? My plant was rally hit by heat and humidity issues early on, which is why I thought she was so slow to flower.

Your plant has the perfect structure. All buds and short! Nice!

Would be thrilled to get any where near that!

I managed to maintain a miraculous (to me) 70-80 deg with about 40% Rh throughout. 3.5x3.5x6' tent with a mezeihi 600 (actual 237w). My 4" fan was running @100% the entire time but my cheap filter could barely keep up. The light was maintained at about 20" from the canopy top. I found that any closer and she would start curling / flipping leaves so decided to just keep it at 20 - which gave me really good coverage and penetration. I also used the android app 'Jane' for keeping a log and personal journals - I highly recommend it!

Thanks Jrok. I have seen my CP react the same to the light being so close, but chalked that up to the ambient heat. I think I have a pretty good balance now, as the GG likes the light a lot.

One thing I ran into at about wk 4 of flower (wk9) was a huge downward ph swing in my soilless mix and then a battle with PK deficiencies. Not knowing soil was a huge challenge (my past grows were all dwc) I thought it was yellow tip /septosis but it didn't get too far - I used Advanced nutes ph perfect Grow/Bloom/Micro at about 75% strength and CalMag at full strength (every 3rd watering). AN Micro and CalMag have a TON of nitrogen, so cut out Grow nutes at week 10, replaced with full strength Overdrive till week 13 then PH'd water till the end.

I am using the base with big bud now. Wasn’t planning on supplementing with Cal Mag unless I saw a reason to, as recommended by AN. Sounds like you used calmag instead of big bud. Did you use cal mag the whole grow, even veg?

This was my first forray into LED and everything I read in preparation said blurple LEDs strip magnesium. I stated food in week 4 from seed, and was only doing about 25% strength @ every third watering - but yes, in veg as well. I'm curious what your recipe will be in dwc as I've got 2 more beans of this strain that I'm going to drop in the fall - most likely in dwc /scrogged this time. Based on the structure, this strain really does seem to be intended for a screen, though I may go with a larger light for the 2nd round, to ensure full coverage of the whole footprint.

FYI here's the thread I started when my rust spots first started showing, gives a little more information surrounding timing etc...

Thanks JRock. I will read the thread for sure. This is valuable information since you have the same plant and using AN. I have been following the feeding schedule pretty much to a tee, except giving less, ranging from 1/2 to 2/3 strength. Just started big bud three weeks ago.

For your tracking purposes, what did you consider to be the start of flowering. Showing sex, pistils, preflower?
