You really do not need to worry about lifting out a plant because the roots of the two plants in the same reservoir will be so intertwined as to lock them both in place; unless you take a long knife and slice them apart. Been there and done that .
Will have to rethink my reservoir changing routine when that happens. I just switch it out with a backup containing the fully mixed phed water. I will have to start draining out the same reservoir using the pump, and then refilling from the premixed reservoir. Might be easier actually, but don't think it will be as fresh a start since I doubt the pump will get all the water out. What do you think? Not enough written about changing a RDWC reservoir as some other topics.
